It's possible, but there's no way this translates to long term. They obviously share the same feeling for one another, they are both adults, I think that they can be happy it just takes a lot of hard work to make that last.

I would say shallowness has to do with only looking at material things a person possesses, (money, cars). Where as personal preference is just what you know you are attracted to in terms of looks alone. ^^Hilarious I once saw on the "news" that they were making a "fat" gym, where it would accomodate overweight people. So basically a gym that's always empty. What happens when you lose weight? I'm sorry you feel guilty. As others have said and I agree this is in no way your fault. Stop stressing but what you need now is closure. Your issues seem unresolved and hopefully you have someone to talk this through with and don't feel bad about what you feel it's the stages of grieving that you are experiencing.
