In the morning after all bathroom stuff, and before getting dressed. I wait until I get the same reading a couple of times (over a few days) before I accept it as a true loss of weight.

Yes you can train for it on a treadmill. I would advise you to have at least a one degree incline when you are working out.

There are daily workout apps you can get which are good (e.g Daniel Miller Daily Ab workout etc). You could easily fit using these into a busy schedule. Resistance bands are not bad, They don't cost a fortune and are easy to carry around.

The advice about weighing yourself once a week first thing in the morning (from MFP) is also a good one. It does help avoid disappointment, because of natural fluctuations in weight during the day.

Well done! great news. I am 43 days smoke free myself. I used Champix for 3 weeks, (I stopped taking them because of the side effects, but they did help me get through the initial cravings phase). I look forward to my one year point.

This weeks goals are to keep going with the cardio workouts, while mixing them up (intensity), and to really concentrate on some weight training. I include about 20 mins on each session(usually an hour in total) for some abs and weights. But maybe I should re- think this and dedicate a session or two to just weight…

No they will go. To help that process along make sure you do some regular weight training. Or at the very least, do Push ups and Pull ups.
