  • This sounds interesting! I am not sure what my goal is because I've never really counted miles. I do triathlons so biking is not my only form of exercise, so my miles aren't all that high compared to some of you! Anyway, this is what I have so far..... 9/2/14--4miles(had to quit early due to thunderstorms)…
  • How intense are your workouts?? If you are training every workout too intensely you will be tired no matter how many miles/week or miles/day you are running. I know I have definitely had this problem before when training for events. Make sure some of your runs are "easy" runs of moderate intensity.

  • Yea, I love biking! I do triathlons and I am signed up for an olympic distance triathlon coming up mid-september! I can't wait!
  • I sign up for races to keep me motivated! My next one is an olympic distance triathlon. It's my longest feat and I enjoy the races a lot. It amazes me what your body can accomplish with a little hard work. Also what keeps me motivated is how my mood is always better after I exercise and keeping myself healthy as I age.…
  • 5'9.5" Highest weight-174 Lowest weight-128 (too thin with disordered eating patterns) Current weight 163 Goal weight-155, but I haven't really been trying to lose weight recently due to needing to eat enough to train for triathlons
  • When I am not running and get back into running I have exercise induced asthma, but I definitely notice that the more in shape I am the less of an issue it is. Right now, I haven't hardly had an issue in probably a year. I believe the better in shape you're in the less reactive your lungs are to triggers. That's just my…
  • I love Jacks Pizza. I think it is the best and it is cheaper than some of those fancier ones.
  • I am almost 5'10" and currently weigh 153-155. I am okay with that weight but would prefer to be closer to 145-150. It really does depend on your build and your own comfort levels though.
  • I find I sleep better and fall asleep better when I've worn myself out with a good workout before bed.
  • 5'9.5", currently 152-153 with a goal weight of 145... close!
  • I'm up for this! SW: 175 CW: 159 GW: 153 UW: 145-148 Weigh in Dates: 4/1--159 4/8 4/15 4/22 4/28 End of Month (or whatever weigh in days you use) Total weight lost: I'm training for multiple sprint triathlons and some 5K's this summer! I love doing road races to keep me motivated to stay healthy!

  • 5'9.5" 155 lbs Size 10Long I have wide hips and a smaller waist, so I really can't get much smaller than size 8 no matter how thin I am. At my lightest (128) I was a size 7/8, but would also wear 9/10 in some brands. Weird how that works since I still can wear that same size.
  • I am 5'9.5", 29 years old. I eat 1550-1600 when I don't exercise and days I exercise I eat up to 2000 calories. Most of my workouts are about an hour long I'd say with a bit of weight lifting and mostly cardio (training for a duathlon)
  • I'm like 5'9.5". My goal weight is 145, but I am currently 156 and started at 175 or so....
  • Well, I am currently a size 12 and at a pretty healthy weight, and my height is 5'9.5". My ultimate goal is to be a size 10 and lose about 10 more lbs. It all just depends on your height, body composition, and goals that you have for yourself.
  • You will lose the belly fat, but it can be stubborn. I feel like it is the last to go, but it will come off eventually. Jut be patient and keep at it!
  • Haa, I feel so weak! When I have been diligent about training for bench press the best I could do is 110 pounds as a one rep max. Now, I bet I couldn't even get 100 lbs on it :(
  • I've always been a size A from 175 to 130 lbs. But it all depends where you hold onto fat and for me that is in the hips, butt and abs... and not in my upper body at all.
  • Aww, sorry you had a bad day, but don't beat yourself up to much. You really didn't do that bad. 160X7 is only 1120 calories which really isn't much in the long run. Just call it a day, and have a better day tomorrow. You definitely didn't gain any weight from it considering it takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat!…
  • The only thing I've ever given up (a really long time ago) is calorie ridden drinks. I never drink my calories!
  • I agree with this guy. I do both and I think people should do what they enjoy and stop worrying about other people.
  • Congrats! That's great! Added years to your life :)
  • I usually eat at least half back mainly because creating too big of a deficit is going to cause your metabolism to slow down and you're going to start lose more muscle that way. You will lose weight faster, but for a price. If you are more overweight a large deficit is ok, but the closer to goal weight the less of a…
  • you could take a potassium supplement but chances are you electrolytes are normal unless you really do eat very little. I used to track potassium and it was always really low, but when I went to the doctor recently and had my electrolytes checked they were all completely normal. Your body is very good at keeping…
  • Pizza for sure. I never get sick of it!
  • I am 5'9.5". I started at about 177.... which was a shocker since my home scale was reading 10 pounds light!! Down now to 160 with a goal weight of around 145-150
  • i agree you didn't gain 1.2 pound over the weekend. I weighed myself last night and this morning and I weighed a full pound more this morning! Weird since I usually weigh less in the morning. It's just water fluctuations and other things. Weight can fluctuate a lot. Don't worry about it. Be consistent with eating healthy…
  • Well, in my opinion, you will probably maintain/gain more muscle lifting heavier weights which in turn will help to burn more fat etc. You could learn to do either program alone, although with the heavy lifts you may need a spotter sometimes. I personally have grown to really like functional training though because my…
