I do something similar. I log my weight daily in an Excel document, and I have a column that calculates a 7-day moving average. I consider the moving average to be my "official" weight, since it smooths out water weight fluctuations.

This is me, except my host is Bob Barker with black hair.

We recently got a new gaming PC, because my wife officially claimed the old one as her workstation, and we've all been playing a lot of Beat Saber in VR lately. I'm also still playing Final Fantasy XIV daily. I'm finally caught up to endgame and now I'm going through all the old raids and other side-content that I skipped…

I knew I was officially old when we were listening to an all-80's satellite radio station one day, and my then-5-year-old daughter informed me that it was "old people music". I was going to argue with her, but then I realized that Guns 'n Roses are just as old to her as, say, Buddy Holly is to me.

Depending how advanced you want to get, I'd recommend the book "Daniels' Running Formula". It has a variety of training plans for different distances, and your training pace is keyed off of something he calls "VDOT", which you figure out simply by looking up your current pace on a table. Now I don't have the book in front…

If you go (with a break), you can either win or not win. If you don't go for it, you definitely won't win. - Professional cyclist Jens Voigt

I'm 5 lbs. away from my next mini goal, 164. That's when I officially cross from "overweight" to "normal" for my height.
-
My 7-day moving average was 171 today, so I'm now officially halfway. Next mini-goal is 164 lbs, because that's the point that I move from "overweight" to "normal" for my height.

High Score, a Netflix documentary about the early years of video gaming. I had an Atari 2600 and grew up playing those games. I even had the infamous "E.T." Atari game.

I'm about 3.5 lbs. away from 171, which puts me halfway between my starting weight (192) and my goal (150).

I-Land, a Korean show that is a cross between a singing competition and Big Brother.

There's this particular brand of frozen pizza that we occasionally get, and the serving size is listed as "1/3 pizza". But the pizza is divided into 8 slices, and 8 isn't an even multiple of 3.

The Florida governor has ordered all schools to reopen in the fall for full-time, face-to-face classes, and has banned any kind of "hybrid" remote-learning model.

I didn't think I had any action figures, but now that I look around I realize I have quite a few Funko Pop figures around my computer. From left to right there's a default pink D.Va mech, Robot Devil from Futrama, the 4th Doctor, a Tardis, a blueberry D.Va mech, and a carbon fiber D.Va mech (I'm a D.Va main in Overwatch,…

Right now I'm reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I'm also slowly watching the original Ghost in the Shell TV series because I just finished the new Netflix SAC_2045 series. Except for the movie (which I watched years ago), I never saw the original. Oh, and playing a lot of Final Fantasy XIV.

That one isn't the record anymore, Red Bull got it down to 1.82 sec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsCriICZ-nA

In the time it takes to play the song I'm Gonna Be by The Proclaimers ("But I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more..."), the International Space Station travels about 1,000 miles.

I can relate. My wife and in-laws (who also live with us) are from a culture where food = love, and "no thanks, I'm full" is taken as a very personal and hurtful insult. I'm sorry, but I've never found a good solution. I waffle back-and-forth between accepting that every single meal will end in a screaming row with someone…

Zero Hour! (1957) Not many people know this, but the movie Airplane! is a parody of Zero Hour, with entire scenes lifted directly from the original almost verbatim. Now I finally know what happened over Macho Grande, since Zero Hour went into more detail.

Ghost in the Shell, 1995 anime version. I would post the movie poster, but it's a bit NSFW.

I guess that makes me the tank of the family since I go to the supermarket alone to, umm, keep the AOEs pointed away from the party? I'm sorry, I thought I was going somewhere with this but the analogy seems to have broken down.

We've been binge watching Korean dramas and just finished "Crash Landing on You". "Itaewon Class" is next on the list. I've also been watching "Community", which I missed when it was on the air. Also, since there's no sports going on right now, I've been getting my motorsports fix by watching the 1990 Formula 1 season.…

Probably shower and shave and get a haircut. Since working from home, I've turned into Cricket from Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I figured there were probably phone apps or something that replaced CB radio by now. If I do get a Trans Am, I'm still putting a CB in it though.
