Oh god, I remember when the pandemic first hit and I walked into my grocery store to find no bananas. At all. The banana table was so....deserted. WAS IT YOU?????

I feel attacked.
Especially so when I was with my dad and we were listening to the "oldies" station.. only to realize that "oldies" is now 80s and early 90s music. Excuse me, what??4 -

I knew I was officially old when we were listening to an all-80's satellite radio station one day, and my then-5-year-old daughter informed me that it was "old people music". I was going to argue with her, but then I realized that Guns 'n Roses are just as old to her as, say, Buddy Holly is to me.2 -

My work center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Overnight and on weekends we are allowed to watch movies during dead times (and when is it ever NOT dead at 2am?). It's great fun sometimes putting on a movie from the 80's, and watching the faces of the 20-something kids watching for the first time. I have also been officially labelled the oldest person on the planet by these same 20-somethings when I told them I saw the original Star Wars in theater back in 1977. One punk was so in awe as he said, "that was from last century, man!" I could not argue with him, to my ever lasting chagrin...8

@beagletracks
Wish I'd've thought of that years ago; I've had dogs most of the years I had an in-home daycare and they were considered play things almost as much as the toys.1
