*fill in the blank* superfood will change your life = help you easily lose weight, gain gorgeous muscle, have all the energy in the world, make you sleep better, make your body not notice it's eating any fat, make you irresistible to those you are attracted to, etc.

It is definitely an 'emotional time' going from serving size in suggested portions to serving size by actual weight. I swear I mourned my extra peanut butter for months! But like others have said, sometimes I am pleasantly surprised when the weighed serving size is actually larger than I expected. I generally scan the code…

Same as MsCzar, I take deficit breaks. It's hard work on your body to stay motivated while depriving yourself day in day out. I commit to a certain time frame, say 12-16 weeks of lower calories/more precise deficit work and intense exercise and afterwards PLAN for a time of maintenance. The important thing is holding…

How long are the classes you are doing? What intensity level are you exerting yourself at? Are you eating/sleeping to fuel yourself? How long have you been at it? Generally your body should be a pretty good indicator of if you are pushing yourself too far with exercise; fatigue/lethargy, extreme hunger, lack of…

Thank you all so much for your responses!! I guess mostly I was nervous about no longer having a program to follow and figuring out my running goals seemed rather daunting. Previously it was simply "I want to learn how to run". I do feel like aiming more for time/distance might give me a better shot at hitting two birds…

Not sure about sharing via text, but my partner nearly every day goes to my diary and copies my meals (including saved recipes) and alters them for his portions. Have either of you altered settings to close diary to others?

Ahh I hear ya. I would also suggest then adding in walking at an incline. As pregnancy goes further and more and more gets uncomfortable, walking still ends up being something that keeps you moving as well as still activates your muscles. At a slight incline either on a treadmill or outdoor trail is known to specifically…

Are you specifically glute focused and are interested in continuing safely with those types of activities for progress or is that the style of exercise you are enjoying the most? Bret Contreras (The Glute Guy) actually has a couple Youtube videos specifically made for pregnant women on how they can continue to work the…

Also for Zen labs! My partner has done it a couple times outdoors and loves it, two thumbs up from him. I myself just finished week 6 of my first round of C25k (I never thought I could ever run because of my knees) and also really love their version. I am doing it indoors as our weather here in Manitoba this time of year…

What is your MFP activity level set at? IF at sedentary and you spent 11 hours on your feet moving, it could be quite possible you have burned that amount on top of your basic sedentary (sitting and doing nothing but walking to the bathroom) rate of caloric burn. That being said it also has a lot to do with your fitness…

I love fitnessblender.com due to their selection (difficulty, length, exercise variety etc) as well as no cheesy music or nonsense so I can stick my own tunes on in the background. I also find their site easy to use or just search on ytube either way. I don't generally work out with videos very often any more but still hit…

Absolutely this! I love steak and enjoy a variety of cuts and ways of cooking it (it is -48 with the wind this week so no grill for us!). I find it more satisfying than chicken breast which makes it generally easier to fit in a caloric deficit range. If I had to choose a cut, it would be a great big juicy strip steak…

Happy Valentine's Day! As maybe others do, I planned ahead this week and ate a bit lighter each day ( and probably will for a few days after I stuff my face tonight haha). In no way would I call it a cheat, but definitely a real TREAT day, spent with the fam jam making homemade pasta and meatballs. For anyone that has made…

Agreed, while the app for Fitbit will add total calories throughout the day as it syncs, you have the option to start timed workouts (run, swim, bike, weights, intervals and treadmill I think) and either during or after the workouts you can keep track of and look at your stats like estimated calories burned, steps, HR. You…

I'm in, but will have to start late  I'm on antibiotics for a sinus and inner ear infection and on bed rest while it all goes away. September really did me in I guess. Things are looking up and I'm already feeling more like myself so should be able to join in by the end of the week (hopefully!) Gosh I miss…

I have missed the last couple days down with a dreadful head cold which has kicked in a nasty flare up. I may have to take it easy for another couple days and stick to just yoga and mild cardio (if that). A big shout out to everyone kicking butt keeping up with this months challenges YOU ROCK!!

Day 7 done. My arms feel like noodles! It's getting to the point where I think I'm going to have to lower my weight for the curls (it was already at a lower weight than my usual for sets of 10 reps) since I've been doing them in sets of 15-20 depending on how to break down the total. I imagine by the end I'm not going to…

Day 5 and 6 done! Yesterday was my 30th birthday AND the day before the kiddies started school so we were kept busy and I got no workout in other than a quick walk while a surprise cake was being decorated, haha. I caught up today.

Thoughts go out to you and others in your area. Hoping preparations work well and you are able to stay safe and sound.

Day 2 and 3 done!

Day 1 done. A great start for September!!!

I'm in for all 3, though I'm pretty sure no matter how hard I try 5 min of plank straight isn't gonna happen!! :dizzy: I feel great after August's challenges and while my weight plateaued I know my core is stronger and my pants are fitting better.

Day 30 complete!!!

26, 27 and 28 done. Been busy getting school supplies ready for the start of the 'year'. I can't believe that the kids vacation is almost over but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little excited to get back to a little more free time to focus on exercise (I was squatting at 11pm the other night to fit em in!). As for…

Day 23 and 24 done  It's been pretty cool this week so haven't been out for walks or to the park with the kids and everyone's going a little stir crazy but it sure is nice being able to fit in the challenge!

Day 21 done!

Back home, definitely enjoyed day 15 for some recovery after the daily workouts along with some pretty intense hikes (all those squats and crunches certainly helped!). Day 16 done

Going to take advantage of rest day and also skip my regular workout for some restorative yoga. We're going camping this weekend out in no reception land so won't be able to check in but I WILL be keeping up with the daily workouts, even attempting them in some unique spots for an adventure. I hope everyone has a fabulous,…

Day 9 all done! My abs are super sore today....yowza!

This is as well how I added any strength training or mixed cardio/str before I got a fitbit. The strength section is more meant for keeping track of your reps/weights and not for tracking calories burned.
