The humidity, was outrageous but I was coming from SoCal where it's super dry.

I agree that your aren't telling me to stop buying but the NY paper is saying not to waste one's money on organic. When clearly if we actually read the paper put out by Stanford they don't say that organics are a waste of money. They say that if you look at them for more then the health reasons they are a good deal. Not to…

The review yielded scant evidence that conventional foods posed greater health risks than organic products. While researchers found that organic produce had a 30 percent lower risk of pesticide contamination than conventional fruits and vegetables, organic foods are not necessarily 100 percent free of pesticides. What’s…

First my question would be who financed the study? And then I would say that even if organic apples have only 1/10 of the pesticide as conventional ones that's still a much better deal. Am I asking everyone to buy it? Hell no, but I do and I will continue to do so.

I'm confused how people in the 1700's would have known their blood type in order to eat in a specific way? Pretty sure it's not at all relevant....

I like a good coconut scented body cleanse myself......

Free weights, crunches (depending on how your leg is cast), sit on the sofa and do an exercise video from the waist up. Silly sounding but every little bit counts. And really concentrate on your diet because not only are you trying to be healthy but your also mending a broken bone. Adequate nutrition is so very important.

Hard to say without weight and height measurements.

Find out what MFP thinks you need to maintain, then subtract that # from your total daily burn. The difference is how much you exercised that MFP doesn't account for.

That's wonderfull!! I just made it here in the past month as well and I can't tell you how happy it's made me. Like you I still have a lot of weight left to lose but seeing a one in front makes it seem more possible!

Actually gorillas are not vegan. Unless termites and other insects are made from tofu. Or perhaps the occasional birds egg. Gorillas are omnivores just like humans, chimps and monkeys. I think you can get adequate amounts of protein as a vegan but avoiding soy makes it even more difficult. Personaly I'll stick to eating…

In a word NO. It's just another excuse lazy people use to not go to the gym.

I have the Body Media Core and I love it!! It's not just a glorified pedometer. It does track your steps but it also calulates your calories burned throughout the day. I use it every day and i have found it gives me accurate information not only for my runs but for my lifting as well. It uses your skin conductivity (sweat)…

I have the body media which is a body bugg and I love it. I too have sensitive skin and I don't find the band or the device itself to be irritating. The band is adjustable so it won't move around.

I haven't had a drink in I want to say just about six years. Never was a big drinker before that either.

Besides being bad for your teeth and bones I don't know if it's bad for you. I know that based upon the fact that it has artificial sweetners I avoid it like the plague.

I eat whatever I want so long as it fits into my calories. I do have days where I eat more then my calorie goal (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthdays) but that's life. I still track EVERYTHING that goes into my mouth. How else will I learn what does what to my body if I can't remember what I put into it.

I love my Body Media, I have the core. Honestly I don't notice the armband at all and I wear short sleaves. No one has ever asked about it or commented on it.

I'm doing a Disney Princess Half in Feb and a R&R San Diego Half in June

It doesn't sync your goals just your exercise. So it'll tell MFP that you burned X amount of calories and MFP will use that to determine how many you should eat based upon your goal that you put into MFP. So if your goal was 1700 calories it'll start to add calories onto that.

It's not real life!

It's not to eat less then your goal, it's to eat your NET calories. A 500 calorie difference is already factored in when it gives you your intake goal so if you do any extra exercise then you should eat those calories back in as well. Now if you burn 400 and only eat 250 or so that's fine so long as you don't feel hungry…

How pray tell would that be? Every time I eat there I end up being ill from the fat content or the chemicals they use to make it taste like real food instead of a food product. Now granted not everyone wants a LC for dinner but for those of us who do it's a healthier option. Edited to add: For comparison's sake I had a…

That's a wonderful NSV. I love Outback but I've cut down on the frequency of eating there and the size of the portions.

Is this sarcasm?? Respected cardiologists or not no doctor worth anything endorses the crap that he does. But by all means follow his advice if it seems valid to you.
