Stuck fat

I have been eating around my 1200 calories limit, usually eat my exercise calories, but not always. Have been lifting some weights for around 4 years now. Hate cardio, but I do a little. I still havea considerable amount of fat covering my muscles which I believe are pretty ok, but apparently cant get rid of this stuck fat. My weight is also stubborn. Can someone give me a clue about what is going on? Should I cut dairy, carbs, whatever? Help?

This. How long have you been eating only 1200 calories? Have you ever just tried taking a few weeks to eat at maintenance?

1200 calories is not your limit; it's your target.
Exercise calories are meant to be eaten back (since at 1200, you are obviously working with the MFP-given calories)
You don't need to cut carbs, dairy, or anything else unless you have an allergy are sensitivity.

What you should do is find out your TDEE, understand what it means, and you will realize on your own what to do next.

Yes, this is can all be overwhelming and complicated , but you are more than welcome to ask questions on the post.
One of the things that I have found that has been one of the best methods for me to get fit is to understand fitness. To understand where all these figures, etc come from.

The good thing is once you get the hang of it - it is something you'll be aware of constantly and you'll get a better understanding about your eating habits.

So I HIGHLY suggest making the effort to take every chance to educate yourself. Even if you don't end up going with any of these methods, calculations, etc - at least you understand what they are, where others are coming from, and maybe they will still be able to help you figure out what is best for you.

I'm 5'7" and 138lb, but my tanita says I have almost 28% of body fat :(
