Broken bone blues

I was doing it - I was exercising, eating well, getting motivated and felt like I could really do something! Then I broke my leg. I'm not usually a very negative person, but the past few days have been hard. I've been going stir crazy with being glued to my house. I want to go out, do things, start running, dancing. I suppose at least I have been eating less and I can use my crutches for exercise. It's still hard.. I don't like being strapped to my house.
More than ever I need friends and support. I'd sure appreciate it.

You can still work out. Get some free weights and work your upper body. Because you can't use your legs means you don't have to be Sedentary. The only person that can support yourself in the end is yourself.0

OH of course and this is the precise thing I'm looking for! My fiance is actually going to be grabbing us some free weights soon. I'm super excited!0

Free weights, crunches (depending on how your leg is cast), sit on the sofa and do an exercise video from the waist up. Silly sounding but every little bit counts. And really concentrate on your diet because not only are you trying to be healthy but your also mending a broken bone. Adequate nutrition is so very important.0

Free weights will be fantastic for you. Could you try something like boxing while sitting down for a bit of cardio0
