Bodymedia Sync Question

Question for those of you who use bodymedia or fitbit or other types of calorie tracking devices.
I synched my bodymedia and it is telling me that yesterday I have 403 calories remaining. However, I only burned about 2200 calories for the day and I have it set to lose 1lb/week --so there should be a 500 cal/day defecit, correct? I ate 1700 calories, roughly. How does this work? I don't see how I have 400 calories left? I'm confused lol.
TIA!

It doesn't sync your goals just your exercise. So it'll tell MFP that you burned X amount of calories and MFP will use that to determine how many you should eat based upon your goal that you put into MFP. So if your goal was 1700 calories it'll start to add calories onto that.0

This is so confusing! Because if I would have eaten those 400 cals that MFP tells me I had left, I would not be at the 500 cal/deficit for the day. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the sync0
