That's wonderful! I would love to have a group to loose weight with for motivation and support. I wish you all the best. I walk on a treadmill at home. For Christmas, I received a Recumbent cycle. I hope it helps me get the last 15 lbs off. Good luck!

Yes, walking works. I've walked on a treadmill since June and I've lost 33 lbs! Walking and logging works for me. I hope it works for you.

I'll be 55 in December and decided I had been overweight long enough. I started dieting in June of this year, joined MFP in July. I've lost 33 lbs and have about 15 to go. This is by far the best way I have ever tried to loose weight. But it's more than a diet for me, it's a lifestyle change.

Good for you! I've been thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas and wondering how that is going to go. I haven't had to worry about a birthday party lately, but several are coming up. I hope I'm able to be as strong as you!

I weigh once a week and log what ever the outcome is. Like a few others have said, it helps me stay honest with myself.

I have a pair of jean that I really wanted to wear again. I decided the other day to try them on and see how much more I need to loose so they would fit. To my surprise, I had to wear a belt to keep them up! Time to start cleaning out my closet.

Yes, I gave up all fizzy drinks. I used to love diet sodas. I gave them up in June. The other day I bought one while I was out running errands and after two sips, I was done. Didn't want any more!

My Fitness Pal has really helped me. Earlier this week, I had completed 75 days. It has been a great help to me. I've lost 26 pounds to date. I'm also walking 60 minutes five days a week.
