  • Congratulations!! How far along are you? Do you have morning sickness? I've had 3 babies. My first one I gained too much (42lbs), but with the other 2 I only gained 27 and 30 (and I started out the 3rd 10lbs less than I did the other 2). Keep in mind you're supposed to gain weight (I know everyone knows that, but it's…
  • I hear you. I don't think my son is teething yet, but he's never let me put him down. I don't understand how a 3rd baby gets that way, but he is. Even if he's happy doing something for 10min, that would be the max. I like the idea of watermelon in a mesh teether, but I'm betting it wouldn't last too long. I wish I had…
  • Thank you Nikki, that is exactly what I was talking about. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is/has struggled with moving from losing to maintaining. I'm also glad to know it can be done. I'll need to figure out something to increase calories, since I was already doing a handful of nuts or extra peanut butter just to get…
  • Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada....watch out NHL, Winnipeg is BACK!! :P
  • I did all 4 levels of Ripped in 30, I did one a week. When I started each level I thought I was going to die. I couldn't do some of the moves. By the end of the week I could do everything. Just modify what you can't do yet and soon you'll be able to do it all!!
  • Thank you :-). I don't see a big difference in the pics, but yesterday...my favorite pre-preggo jeans did up and I didn't have to hold my breath all day to wear them!!! I'm not going to do it again right now, my knees are killing me and need a break. I'm going to do lots more walking now that it's nice out and I'll…
  • I just did Day 1 Level 4 today. She's seriously trying to kill me, lol. It's definitely the hardest of the levels, but it seems to have less impact on my knees, so I'm hoping they hold out until I'm done next week. I've just been putting 28min circuit training for exercise, and it's saying I burn about 200cal. I don't have…
  • I just found this thread!! I'm starting Level 4 of Ripped in 30 tomorrow. I've done each level 6 days (I take Fridays off to clean my house :P). I haven't lost much weight, but I have lost inches. My knees are killing me, so after I'm done my week of Level 4 I'm taking a break from Jillian. She does produce amazing…
  • I'm just under 5'3, and currently at 118lbs. My goal right now is 112, which is what my pre-pregnancy weight was a year ago (I had my 3rd baby in Dec). I am able to easily maintain 112 once I go back to work (I have a year of mat leave). When I had my 2nd baby I was able to get down to about 104, but that was a little too…
  • Sorry, double posted ;-)
  • Hi, can I join? I had my 3rd baby and only boy on Dec 23, 2010 (so he's just over 3 months). My other 2 are 5.5 and 3 years old. I started out my pregnancy with him 10lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight with my girls. I gained 30lbs exactly with him, and have 6lbs more to go. I am exclusively breastfeeding, so adding in…
  • After my 2nd baby I lost all my preggo weight (28lbs), and another 15lbs on top of that (I'm 5'3 and got down to about 105lbs). My belly had no fat left on it, but the skin was still a little bit loose. I only had 2 years in between before getting pregnant again, so I'm not sure if it would've firmed up at all. But, I was…
  • Awesome!! I'd take 9" lost!! I keep hoping the scale will catch up to the loss. I've got 2 days left of Week 2. I'm doing each level 6 times. Was that what you did?
  • I can't do a cleanse or anything like that because I'm breastfeeding my 3 month old. If I wasn't, though, I definitely would take that advice!
  • I have to modify some of the exercises on JM's videos because of my knees. I tore the meniscus in each knee, but haven't had surgery yet to fix them b/c of being pregnant/nursing for so long. Be so careful of your knees, once you do damage they never go back to normal. Braces are a great idea!!
  • I'm on Day 4/Week 2. I thought week 1 wasn't very challenging, either, not after doing the 30DS consistently. Week 2 has been tougher. I have to be careful of my knees, though, so I have to modify a bit. I'm still breastfeeding, also, so not following JMs diet plan. So far I've only lost 1lb, but have lost an inch off my…
  • I also had my 3rd baby 3 months ago (5.5, 3, and 3 months old), so definitely understand where you're coming from. I love Jillian Michaels workouts because they don't take that much time. I'm doing Ripped in 30 right now. I put it in as soon as my son goes down for his morning nap. It's hard with him, he only naps 40min…
  • People guess about 105 for me, but I'm really 120 right now after baby #3. They still guess 105 when I am 105, though...
  • I'm just under 5'3 and my goal is 112 for now, but one I'm done nursing my baby I'd like to maintain between 105-110. That's where I was in between kids, so I expect to get there again...I hope  . About 7lbs to go to get to my 112 goal right now.
  • I'd like to know, too. I'm having the same problem.
  • I'm from Winnipeg, too :-). Stupid snow...
  • I have been on Effexor, Paxil, Zoloft, and Wellbutrin (seperately). Initially I gained about 10-15lbs, but no more after that. I couldn't lose it no matter what I did. Once I stopped taking ADs I was able to lose the weight really quickly and easily. Wellbutrin didn't make me gain anything, I took it after losing weight.…
  • LOL, it feels like I've been pregnant or BFing for the last 6+ years straight! I haven't, but it feels like it. I love walking, I have a double stroller to put the younger 2 in while my 5yo is at kindergarten. But, it's still cold here, we're expecting over 5" of snow tomorrow, and pushing the double stroller through…
  • Thanks for the advice. He's my 3rd, I breastfed both of my older ones for just over a year each. I wasn't really counting calories with #1, and with #2 I didn't start until after the 3mo mark. Maybe I'll change it to 500 cal just to be safe.
  • My husband is the same. Of course, he can eat whatever he wants and never gain a pound. I don't think you're going overboard with thinking about the calories, and I'm sure he means to be supportive, but he probably just doesn't understand it. The one thing I have to say about obsessing about calories (I've done the weight…
  • LOL thanks. That makes me feel better. Just checked my BMR and it's 1228. So...it's going to take years to lose 9lbs!!!
  • No TOM here while I'm BFing. I do feel swollen, though. My rings are tight. The 1200 calories, I know we need it, but is that gross or net calories? Thanks for the support and advice!! I know it's only been 12 weeks, but after wearing maternity stuff for 7mos I miss my old clothes!!
  • I am eating back most of my exercise calories. My one unknown is that I'm breastfeeding and it burns 300-500 calories a day. I add it as an exercise for 300cal. I drink tons of water due to BFing, too. My sodium is well below MFPs recommended amount. I don't even come close to fitting my pre-pregnancy jeans. That's my real…
  • I understand that breastfeeding is a "special time" that doesn't last long relative to the rest of your life. But, I BF my kids for over a year each. So far that means I have BF'd for 30mos of my life and plan to go until this baby is 13mos or so, so 10 more months at least. That's almost 3.5 years of my life!! I am not…
  • I add BFing as a cardio exercise and set it at 300cal. That means I can have abiut 1600cal/day. I tend to eat around 1500. It worked with my last pregnancy, and my supply was fine. My baby is 11.5wks right now.
