Breastfeeding and Calorie intake

I understand that breastfeeding is a "special time" that doesn't last long relative to the rest of your life. But, I BF my kids for over a year each. So far that means I have BF'd for 30mos of my life and plan to go until this baby is 13mos or so, so 10 more months at least. That's almost 3.5 years of my life!! I am not happy with me when I have noticeable baby weight, I sure wouldn't want to carry it around for 3.5 years!! I think being a healthy mom is a better mom, and if that means watching what I'm eating, with consideration of supply, then I'm benefitting myself AND my kids. :-)
