  • It's possibly the shampoo you're using. Have you had your thyroid checked? There are many reasons, the obvious one is stress!! Speak to your pharmacist and if need be your doctor. Good luck.
  • Your a true inspiration. Well done. :flowerforyou:
  • What about a delicious fruit smoothie, with either yoghurt or fromage frais? I copied other ideas, with recipe, for you :- Fluffy Eggless Pancakes Ingredients 1½ cups flour 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1½ cups milk/soy milk/water 1 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp sugar Directions No breakfast recipe ideas are complete without pancakes.…
  • Coca-Cola Zero provides real Coca-Cola taste for variety-seeking consumers. Coca-Cola Zero is sweetened with a blend of low-calorie sweeteners, while Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame. As for Coke/Coca-Cola light, in certain countries, the term "diet" is not used to describe low-calorie foods and beverages. In these…
  • Are you ready to get down to it and lose the weight, or just telling yourself you need to but aren't motivated enough? How much do you need to lose?
  • I think the less you weigh, the less calories you are allocated. Makes sense, as you don't want to put on weight! With 1200 you should still be able to eat and be satisfied. Going back approx 30 years, all woman were allocated 1000 calories and men 1200. So, you're lucky it's not then. Just make sure you plan your day's…
  • Ok, I personally think you are possibly calorie counting, but not eating sensibly. Your daily intake should include your fruit and vegetables, plenty of water and your proteins - not overdoing your carbs. I try to eat 2 - 3 pieces of fruit a day minimum and take plenty of vegetables with my evening meal. Try not to eat too…
  • If you have 1200 calories to use in one day, including your fruit and veg, protein and don't overdo the carbs, you do not add calories to include what exercise you may do! You have your 1200 calories, you then exercise and burn off say 300 calories. You do not need to eat the whole 300 calories, but the idea is you can go…
  • This is a difficult one. I would just make sure that all the foods you crave are healthy ones. We can so easily blame all the rubbish food for our increase in weight, when there is always an alternative. If you are eating healthily and still putting on weight I would have a word with your GP for advice. Good luck.
  • The worst thing you can do is to hide away. You are on track now, by being part of MFP. Just keep eating sensibly and for goodness sake when you're out with your friends for a meal or coffee - do not deny yourself. I tend to go for a healthy salad, remove stuff like most of the mayonnaise etc., and if I want desert I go…
  • Take a low cal bar (they wont see it) and drink either low cal drink or bottled water (sparkling is good). One scoop of ice cream should be ok, or an ice lolly. Just make sure you calorie count it all. Try to eat sensibly during the day, to allow for these extra calories. Also, take fruit which wont be too obvious. I.e.…
  • Ok - from my experience you need to : - make sure you eat your fruit and veg every day; make up a snack bowl of healthy stuff, obviously calorie count it, and try to divde it over the day; - drink PLENTY of water and the odd low cal drink/tea/coffee. - Distract yourself when you "think" you're hungry, i.e. I take to my…
  • You look absolutely fabulous. Good for you. You're an inspiration to all of us who have still to get there. Thank you for sharing.
  • I hope this will help you a little http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/whattoeat/a/highproteinfood.htm
  • That sounds great. However, unless you have a rather big weight loss to go yet it does sound a bit extreme. Keep to the plan and try to eat your calories, not forgetting allowing for your fruit and vegetables. The healthiest weight losses on a regular basis are between 1 and 2.5 lbs. per week. Best of luck.
  • If you have a large frame your goal weight should be at the top end of the suggested scale. I.e.with my sex, height, age and frame - this could differ from my neighbour who is a different sex, has a smaller frame and is much younger than myself.
in is it??? Comment by Slim7Dee August 2012
  • I suppose it's all common sense. If you're eating wisely and you have exercise calories to use up then go for it. However, if you don't need them then forfeit them. Just drink lots of water when exercising. I feel the exercise calories are good if you are out or just want a treat but don't need to be used up just because…
