The ONLY change I would make is to be sure you have a little bit of protien with the melon. Melon has a fairly high glicemic index #. Have you tried calling a few private schools and asking about a work/study scholarship? You volunteer for the school, doing whatever they need done, in exchange for a full or partial scholarship. You might get lucky. It's always worth a shot.

No Dr. should be brushing off frequent urination problems. Time for a new Dr. That can be an early sign of diabetes, it can be a bladder spasming type problem, it can be an ongoing infection, etc etc etc etc.
