It was the day I thought I was the weight that I was the morning I went into labor with baby #3. I stepped on the scale, and I was 8lbs heavier than that.

I weigh myself daily too. Maybe a little neurotic, but I am a person who can be kind of a stats nerd, so it actually helped me learn to not get too anxious over an unexpected gain, especially when I compare my results with my diary.

Try focusing on the things that you need to increase or add to your diet, as opposed to eliminating at first. For me, that was water, protein and fiber. Increasing those things somewhat naturally crowded out the things that I should not have been eating anyway!

Concentrating on the things that I need to ADD to my diet to make sure I get enough of, meaning protein, fiber and water. Doing that somewhat naturally makes me avoid the "bad" stuff because I am often too full after that.

I give myself permission to have any of those things that I want....AFTER I have my water and whatever I packed for the day. How hacked off people can get if you decline the donuts at work. Ditto the "special meals" that family makes. Ditto also the look on some people faces when they find out you have lost nearly as much weight as they have.

Water. It seems like my entire digestive system slows down for a couple days before and drinking plenty of water helps a lot. When I don't, I go around looking for carbs like I'm trying out for a part in a zombie movie, lol

Maybe instead of focusing on CUTTING from your daily intake, try ADDING water. I was a 2 soda a day person (and could be again if I tried). I gave myself permission to have all the soda I want....AFTER I drink water. My problem has almost solved itself.

Once you develop your "go-to" list of foods to stay on track, it becomes pretty automatic and you wonder why you thought it would be so hard.

I had to go to the bathroom kind of urgently today (been doing better drinking all my water, don't you know). When I was finished, I realized that I hadn't taken the time to unbutton or unzip my pants, just unhook my belt and slide my pants down. Thankful for good belts.

What I hate the most....when I was working as a Teaching Assistant I was told by administration that I "had no right" to correct high school students' spelling or grammar, because I wasn't working in an English class. Like any of them were too dumb to learn.

The (junk food) snack vendor that comes where I work said that he will only be coming around every other week now instead of every week because for some reason, his business has fallen off in the last couple of months. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

protein shakes oatmeal bananas protein/fiber bars low fat cold cuts sargento ultra thin cheese slices fiber one sandwich thins eggs frozen veggies single serve frozen meals (for when the rest of the family MUST have something I can and should do without)

A packet of Better Oats oatmeal with a small sliced banana, 200 cal. I also like to have an egg with a small slice of some kind of cold cut and a slice of sargento ultra thin cheese on a fiber one sandwich thin, 250-275 cals.

5'1" and at 165lbs. MFP sets me at 1200 to lose 1 lb per week, but anything under 1650 is a win.

I find that I have a much better time resisting the things I am not supposed to have if I get my +/-80 ounces of water in a day. Additionally, today is just one day. You haven't failed at anything if you get right back at it tomorrow.

Apple butter (35 calories per tbls) on Sara Lee 45 Calorie bread. In fact, I think I'm going to have that right now...brb
