Do you notice any change in the way your clothes are fitting?

I try to stay under 75g. If I can't, I just make sure I still have a caloric deficit at the end of the day.

I've been experimenting with intermittent fasting the past couple months using the leangains approach. There is a lot of interesting information on the site. Check it out if you want to. http://www.leangains.com/

If you want a shapelier butt, kettlebell swings and deadlifts are two of the best exercises you can do.

Go back to the basics. Calculate your BMR and your TDEE. http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ Weigh your food and don't go crazy on the deficit. It doesn't sound like you have a whole lot left to lose, so aim for around 0.5 or 1 pound of weight per week. After a couple months evaluate your results and adjust as necessary. I…

Can we all agree that volumetrically equal amounts of fat and muscle do not weigh the same due to the density difference between the two? After that, can we also please agree not to argue over assumptions in communication instead of just civilly explaining how we came to our conclusions, providing some evidence if need be,…

3 Large organic eggs, 2 slices Trader Joe's uncured applewood smoked bacon, 10 spinach leaf omelette with a 1/2 cup side of 4% Milkfat cottage cheese. 393 calories, 11g carbs, 34g fat, 44g protein I eat it at 5:30 and it lasts me till 10:00 when I eat a snack. This is the first week I'm trying out Tim Ferriss' slow carb…

Read enough of the thread to know that these articles may be helpful to some people: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates/carbohydrates-and-blood-sugar/ http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/the-muscle-building-messenger-complete-guide-to-insulin.html The Bodybuilding.com article is especially interesting.

This. I think the reason behind my dislike of it in cereal is that it has an oily mouth feel. The taste is fine, though.

Your friend's body is using whatever it can for fuel, which means that fat stores will be used, but there is a danger that muscle is also being broken down to fuel the body as well.

Get your TDEE - http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html Make sure you eat around 1000 calories less per day if you want to lose about 2 pounds per week. Set reasonable macro nutrient goals and make sure to get close to them. Persevere and do not give up. Be consistent. If you can't exercise or don't…

Hard boil them and peel them the night before. In the morning just Grab n Go.

Just keep doing what you're doing. 1-2 pounds per week weight loss is ideal. Are any of your family members nutritional experts or certified personal trainers? If not, I wouldn't worry too much what they are saying.

If you want a piece of chocolate, have a piece of chocolate. Just log it. Eat whatever you want, but do it in moderation (obviously because of your daily caloric intake). You won't succeed by depriving yourself of the foods you enjoy. That's just what all the marketing and media tell you. Bottom line: Eat what you like,…

Just bump your calories up by 50 or so / day for a month and evaluate. If you are still losing weight, bump the calories up a little more, give it a month and reevaluate. You'll find the sweet spot eventually. Make sure you are giving your body enough time to adjust for the difference in calories (hence the month). Good on…

1 pound = 3000 calories There's no way you ate 2.5 pounds worth of soda and cookies. If you want to have a soda and a cookie, just make sure it falls into your caloric intake per day and doesn't upset your macros too badly. You can't lose properly denying yourself something that you want. Just eat less of it.

I was expecting the "Bel Air" Fresh Prince ending, but the MFP twist was pretty good too. Hahaha.

If you've hit your macros relatively well and are at your calorie goal, I don't care what you've eaten because you will still lose and it's one day. Now if you are well over your calorie goal and getting it all in only fat, or only carbs, or only protein for that matter, then I'd yell at you. Also, a pirate captain walks…

You shouldn't go below your BMR (base metabolic rate). BMR is what your body needs to work if it did nothing but internal functions. You do many things during the day that burn calories above and beyond your BMR. Sitting here and typing this message I am burning calories. I'd stick with knowing your TDEE (total daily…

Polar is a very good brand of HRM as many others have told you already. :)

Power 90 is a great program from Beach Body that incorporates circuit training for muscle building. If you don't want to spend any money at all, then push-ups, crunches, and pull-ups/chins are excellent ways of building muscle and becoming very strong. Widening and shortening your hand position will incorporate different…

Haters gonna hate. Some douches just have to put others down to feel good about themselves or impress their equally douchey friends. You should have got the license plate and tracked it down. Then slash the tires, but I'm a vindictive SOB, so you probably shouldn't do that now that I think about it.

Have fun losing muscle as well, then, as your body uses it as a fuel source as well as the fat. You'll be skinny! and frail and weak. I went a year getting only 800-900 calories/day when I was in college. I lost a great deal of muscle mass and less fat than you'd think, but I wanted to be skinny and I wanted to do it…

No problem. I see that many people are confused about BMR and TDEE. This is like a one stop shop to get a general guide of what your maintenance would be on a typical day for you. Take that typical day, reduce your calories by a reasonable amount and there you go.
