There's a quite a few fellow Brits on here - I've been loitering around for a couple of years dropping about 5.5stone in the process, but with still 3st to go I'm starting a fresh push after a long stall... Happy to have a few more along for the ride. :)

The IT industry has a lot to answer for.. It's a job requirement to eat too many pies.

hmm... not sure Brickhill is the wrong side of the tracks ;)

Only just 40, already shifted 5.5st, but still another 3 to go - trying to get back in the swing of it again - the more the merrier..

There's a restraining order stopping me :(

From Bedford , 5st (almost) down, 3 to go, always on or around.

Had a nice meal once in the old bridge hotel (back when I was allowed to eat).

Recently I've been doing it daily, in the morning, fully dressed (going to keep the bollock naked weigh in for a bonus at the end) so I can track just how much I fluctuate day in day out. Then I only record a weight when I get the same reading twice. Keeps me going. :)

Yeah, once the initial freefall ends its a bugger to get going again, try and bring the end of day net total up a bit.. But do it gradually . Exactly the same thing happened to me as my net after food - calories burned was too low. (Careful trusting mfp's calories burned though exercise though, it tends to come in on the…

Agree on the graze boxes - they're a really good little snack, out side of that grapes are a really good way to go..

I'm trying to make sure it's more of a 'little 40' than a 'big 40' too, got 18 months to get there... Happy to support if I can. And yep.. If you eat it, log it, it's the only way to go :)

My name isn't Krista.... But I still hope your day gets better :)

Hi Gemma, I was (am) in a similar boat - except 10 yrs further down the line staring 40 in the face... what's worked for me getting back into exercise is starting small with walking during my lunch - 20 mins, then 30, then how far i can get and back in 40. a couple of weeks of that and the improvement in how easy it got…

This probably wont help.. but what the heck is chicken fried steak!! .. sounds evil (in a good/bad way)

Hi Matt, As a fellow almost 40 I know that motivation :)

Well done mate.. 6.5 stone is epic. Keep going (will you be changing your user name soon? :) )
-
I use the endomondo app on my phone, it tracks distance, route etc using GPS , then on the website it'll show you total distances, (I load my exercise bike durations and distances on there - almost done 100 miles in the last 11 days )
-
Have you used different trackers like endomondo for logging exercise, loads of stats (like how many burgers you've burned off :)

For many years a similar story... But you've just got to knuckle down and want to make a change , then get busy doing it ... If you're committed you can do it.. It's gets easier with time, you've just got to get the early days conquered...
