I am currently taking Anatomy and we are in a metabolism unit, we were just taught that our body is actually the most efficient at breaking down lipids first, then carbs, then proteins (amino acids).

I thought it was just me lol, but I actually think he looks younger in the before pic. I think I look older on this round of weight loss than I did heavy.

Actually it is: verb (used without object), toned, toning. tone up, to give a higher or stronger tone to. to gain or cause to gain in tone or strength: toning up little-used muscles.

I second the weighing instead of measuring cups, etc. I have had a very frustrating nine months with painfully slow loss. Started weighing fruits and veggies and what do you know I had been off by about 200-300 calories per day. For example I may have chosen medium apple, but when I weighed by grams it actually came out to…

I completely get it, not too long ago I bought a pack of sausage and a serving was half of a sausage, really????

I feel your pain I started out needing to lose about 138 pounds or so. I have lost 82 so far, it has taken nearly two years to lose that, so with that math I am facing at least another year or more of losing. It is very frustrating sometimes, but better to be moving down than up. I too have lost and gained numerous times…

Me too that developed several months ago and I am soooo sad and a little resentful hahaha

You can add your own exercise. That is how I did it, I have a heart rate monitor so that is how I calculated the calories.

strawberries, almonds, broccoli, asparagus, blackberries, spinach, greek yogurt, boneless chicken breast, zucchini and yellow squash

Search for corned beef brisket in the database, then do your cabbage separately and whatever other veggies or potatoes your MIL might put in.

1 Cup Vanilla Almond Milk 1 cup Frozen Fruit 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder Blend well. Can't even taste the protein powder. You could use fresh fruit and a little ice instead of frozen.

I was 224 when I did it the first time. There were some things I had to modify for a knee injury. I could not keep up with their pace and once I realized I wasn't expected to keep up at their pace but at my own, I did much better. We are now doing a combo of Insnaity and Hip Hop Abs. It is definitely a challenge but it is…

Do-Have patience this is not a race. Don't- expect miracles the weight did not come on overnight, it isn't going to come off over night.

The combo of alcohol and the saltier than normal foods. It should disappear within a week or so!!!

Bumping for later.

I don't know how in the heck you think 900 calories EVERYDAY for breakfast is normal?????????? It isn't. You obviously really didn't want advice or you wouldn't be shooting down everything that everyone has suggested. You are eating far, far too many carbs and starchy items why on earth do you need two tacos AND a potato…

I don't think you are eating enough of your calories, you almost never hit anywhere near the 1570, why would you reduce even more? I would eat at or very very close to the 1570 for a few weeks and see if the scale will budge. And definitely weigh and measure and use correct brands, etc for things as much as possible, there…

If you already have your exercise built in then yes just log exercise as one calorie otherwise MFP will add those exercise calories to your daily calorie goal. I would definitely try eating closer to your 1500 calories for a few weeks and see if things start moving. Also keep in mind that you really don't have that much to…
-
When you calculated your TDEE did you already caluclate your exercise/activity in, in other words did you calculate based on sedentary? or lightly active or moderately active. If you di dnot account for your exercise then you should be eating at least some of your exercise calories back. If you already allowed for it then…

If you only have 19 more lbs to lose you should only be losing about 1/2 lb per week so I think you are right on target.

Everyone loses differently. Weight loss is definitely not a linear process. It has taken me about 20 months to lose about 80 pounds. That is about four pounds per month on average, which is one pound a week. I had about 138 pounds to lose when I started, I too at the beginning thought it would fall off at 2 lbs per week,…

Just remember you can control what goes into your mouth even when you cannot control the other things in your life, like the lay off!! I just went through this back in the fall it is tough, but you can do it! Take a walk or seomthing instead of eating. Good luck on finding a new job!
-
Snack, just make sure you allow for it. I snack all day long, I would not last if I didn't. Fruit, baby bel cheese, turkey pepperoni, hard boiled eggs, string cheese, etc. Good luck!
-
But are you NETTING the 1950 per day? if not then I would say you are not eating enough to offset the calories burned in your workouts.
-
Have you tried: Zucchini Yellow Squash Broccoli Cauliflower Kale Green Beans Collard Greens Acorn Squash Speaghetti Squash Maybe there are some you haven't tasted that you might like better? Also great idea on the smoothie!!!

Eat some calorie dense foods, peanut butter, avocado, cook with olive oil, etc.

My husband and I just completed it last month, he is 50, I am 44. Take it slow and modify what you need to modify, it can definitely be done!
