ooh! Gold's Gym Westmount is right across where I live. Been debating going there, as of now, I workout at home. But I do plan to get more serious with my strength training when I can lift more than the current weights I have now. Let me know how that gym is!

Omg I LOL'ed! Nice. haha.

I totally get what the OP is saying i.e. just listening to your body, and eating when you are genuinely hungry, and stopping when full. Choosing the right type of foods, etc. And staying active. However, not many of us are there yet, MFP keeps us accountable to what we are putting in our mouths. And maybe, one day, we'd…

I usually eat throughout the day, and make sure that I have a decent dinner that fills me enough that I don't feel hungry after. However, when I do have late night cravings, or cravings after any meal anytime in the day, I replace it with a better alternative like a fruit (I love asian pears!). Or, just drink a glass of…

Awesome :) Thanks!

Exercise actually really helps in alleviating cramps.

I agree with the thyroid check, and also double check your measurements of your food. Sometimes we can underestimate what we eat.

Omg, your story is really inspiring and beautiful. Now that is what I call a true success story beyond just physical goals. This is what makes us human, what true strength is like. I wish both of you all the best in your future endeavours

Way to go, Taunto! :) That guy must've some issues. lol. Congrats!

Sweet, love how forthcoming you are with your needs i.e. 20-something females =)

Really shouldn't base your weight on daily fluctuations. That occurs all the time due to a myriad of reasons i.e. sodium intake the day (or even days) prior, water retained from exercise especially strength training.. etc. It would not be due to you over eating because, really, you don't just gain from a single day of…

5'2 - 1800 to 2000 calories exercising 60 to 90 mins, 6 days a week

My dinner last night. Took a picture of it & placed it on my Instagram since it was so pretty haha. Teriyaki Stir Fried Pork with Broccoli.

For me, that only happens when I see junkfood I like, such as chips. Lol. So I make sure to have none of those in my house, at least not in plain sight. I only eat when I am hungry or whenever I planned my meals. =)

Best response I can give you is that if whatever you are doing works for you, then keep doing it. When I first started, I tried it without eating exercise calories, and it worked! in fact it helped me lose the first 15 pounds. Then I realized I just felt rather weak, so I slowly ate a portion of my exercise calories. Felt…

I have always been on the "higher" end of the "normal" weight according to my height till I was 17. However, it was considered still obese back where I was raised so I have struggled so hard to get it lower and in the end just lost whatever fibre of self-esteem I had left. Then I migrated to Canada, my activity level…

Love this! So agree!

lucky you!

Not going to give you advice on your food intake, i have come to learn that it is all personal, and if it works for you, so be it. But I want to let you know that you are beautiful and never to let anyone belittle you without your consent! It's your life girl, if your step father chooses to be mean, then work harder and…

Hahaha . I don't know who you are but thanks for making my night . hahaha.

I am working out on Christmas =) Made a pact with myself to have at least 30 mins of activity everyday (on rest days I do stretching). Considering the fact that there'd be tons of delicious food, I will be able to indulge knowing that I earned it =P

Throughout the Burn and Push Phase I managed to increase from 5lb weights to 15 lb weights for most of the upper body, and up to 20lb weights for the lower body. But since starting Lean Phase, I had to touch it down a notch for some of the exercises since most included the whole body and in order to have good form, I…

Aww hai! :)

I have only ever deleted 3 people, and it is mostly because they were encouraging ED behavior; barely eating anything. Upset that they "binged" (total food intake was 300). I just cannot support that. I am sorry

Just remember, even McDonald's salads are calorie dense. It might be even a lot "healthier" to eat a burger than a salad from there.

No.

The thing is, MFP already has a deficit built in into it. Meaning, before you ever met MFP, you probably were eating more than 1200 (which got you fat), so say you were eating about 4000 calories a day. Now, MFP lowers the calorie intake you are allowed to take to 1200 (so hence a 2800 calorie deficit) which would of…

I love Doctor Who!!!!! :) The 11th Doctor has grown on me and quite enjoy him, I will always love the 10th though :)

What he said! Also, you have to look at portions too. 1/4 cup of cooked white rice for the Rooster Brand anyway is about 160 calories, and having grown up eating rice as a staple for each meal, I used to take in more than that, a whole bowl sometimes. Now that I am more aware, I just make sure to watch my portions. All the…
