Day 3 done.... My butt aches so much. I didn't realise that I had muscles in my bum but there you go. I have spent most of the workouts, watching to see what they do, trying to copy and then doing the modifier. How do they go so fast? Not sure I can do these super fast moves without injuring myself. I have a sore back and…

I'm interested - I'm starting on April 28th as well. bring it on.

I have just finished my 2nd round of Insanity... I was thinking of having a full recovery week and sitting back and watching the DVDs instead of doing them. This is just to see what the other athletes get up to, whilst my head is down with burning abs and shoulders.

I signed up to a 60 day programme. Then I looked at the Insanity calendar and saw that it is indeed 9 weeks long which is 63 days. So I took it that I can have 3 extra days off, in addition to the rest days and that seems to have worked fine for me. When I have a surprise rest day, if I have sleep in, then the next day my…

Babycakes1983, I had the same problem as you. MFP suggested about 1210 cals to start off with and by the second day I was incredibly hungry, couldn't focus on doing anything except for being hungry and I started becoming very grouchy towards my kids.. I set my goals to losing 0.2kg a week as opposed to 0.5kg a week which…

I did Ashtanga Yoga... I love it. I am waiting until I finish round 2 of Insanity then will be a couple weeks of yoga to relax my muscles somehow...

Oh yes - congratulations on completing Insanity. You rock!

How about a hybrid with other workout DVDs? Gillian Micheals 30 days shred, or P90X. I had the same question and year ago and some people suggested doing a mix of Insanity with other programmes. Also I thought about doing couple of weeks of yoga for recovery. My yoga teacher has tried to convince me that various poses…

Hi I am the same as you. I have decided to follow MFP recommendations and see how it goes. I have similar stats to you. MFP recommended I start with 1410 cals and then add with exercise, which is about 400 cals after my Insanity workouts. The 1350 that you mention is what you would need to eat if you just wanted lose…

Thanks everyone. That explains a few things. I must sweat a lot during the night!

Great results - keep it up.

You are looking great - keep at it - well done.

I didn't exercise for a year. I breast fed my baby for a year and found that I didn't have the energy to do anything else. I did lose weight just through breast feeding though - it's a great calorie burner. Take your time and do what you can cope with mentally and physically. A newborn takes lots of energy out of you sleep…

Feel free to add me. I am wanting to lose about 10lbs.

I'm 5ft 2' and looking for some fitness pals. I need motivation and encouragement to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 56kg. I am hoping to lose 1lb a week. I am currently doing Insanity and hope that that will help. Feel free to add me as a friend, but only if you can motivate and inspire. I will of course return the…

I am week 9 now and I felt the same. Didn't lose much after 2 weeks... All I can say is wait till you get go month 2... the workouts are really tough and my body didn't really transform until then.
-
Thanks for all of your replies all... I like Insanity because it doesn't need any gym equipment, so is extremely portable. I think that I will rest for a week and start Insanity again and I'll presuade my husband to do it with me... I am on week 7 now, so only 18 days to go... I have lost a few inches off my waist but flab…

Thanks for your responses... If I get rid of enough flab then it will be a case of keeping my shape and keeping my fitness up to a certain level. Could repeat Insanity with my husband and just eat enough to keep the same weight and build muscle.
-
I have lost about one kilogram over the last 5 weeks and I have lost 1.5 inches off my waist... Not alot... but I actually do have more of a sense of well being from regular daily exercise.
-
I know exactly how you feel.. I was the same being a mum of 2 and doing insanity after almost 4 years of doing no exercise at all. If it helps I am on month 2 now and each workout still leaves me a quivering wreck. It doesn't get any better... but you will notice the difference. My recommendation is to push through with…
