  • I have this callous of cartilege that bridges a couple of lower ribs from a break, and at a certain weight it becomes uncomfortable to sit for long periods in upright chairs
  • If you'd listened as a kid to grandma you would have eaten your bread crusts and now be sporting a full chest of hair - no nipple chaffing the way nature intended. Bread Crusts.
  • First time round the merry-go-round I was 18 and one of my best mates was dating her sister, the other was dating her best friend. Second time round we were two lost souls travelling the same path for a while. And as they say - third time is a charm, met by dearly beloved online in a trivia chat and haven't looked back…
  • Thanks! I feel great today :)
  • Well done peeps - thanks for the assist in exercise motivation :) Apologies for the late reply - been in the middle of moving house (great for enforced exercise, not so great for internet connections)

  • Sweet :) I too went to Uni later in life and apart from the continual ribbing from the young'uns in the class it was an awesome experience.
  • same here - can't jump (or dance for that matter lol)
  • As a kid what did you dream about doing/becoming, and what are you doing now to acheive your dreams?
  • If you have one of the Sportsline 'Solo' range (no chest strap) you must periodically press the front button to acquire the current heart rate - so the less frequently you do this to more inaccurate it will be, especially during periods of sleep as you will likely register heart rate just before going to bed - but this…
  • well done peeps :) some goals getting a good butting kicking in this thread.
  • yep that could be right - depending on your current weight/age etc and the level of activity you carried out doing "done normal day stuff " - obviously you need to have entered the correct info into the HRM to start with. For me when I tried this with a HRM I did a 24 hour stretch on a non-work day, no exercise that day…

  • At a school medical when I was about 9 I was told by the visting doctor when asked to 'stood up straight' to assess posture that I looked like a screwed up ball of rubbish - does wonders for a young'uns self esteem.
  • A high fibre bean based diet and some lunges are almost as effective at clearing a 'personal' zone around your exercise area.

  • reminds me of a nursery rhyme, this little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed at home, well hello there little piggy ... Congrats :)
  • No - not the same as pigs in blankets - toad in the hole is a sausage cooked inside a batter that is similar to yorkshire puddings and then smothered in gravy :) Buts pigs in blankets are rather nice too
  • Righteo count me in - better step up and challange myself this week too then, although I'm going to start counting exercise from Sunday (seeing as its already here downunder). How about 1000 a day for starters.
  • don't forget the stationary bike and rowing machine too
  • I think as far as the law would see it - if the real estate agent arranges a contract that satisfies what you saw 'advertised' and they didn't verbally lead you to believe that the extras were included, then have done their job. However what would make a good real-estate more than just a salesman would have been if they…
  • It would ultimately be your fault - the only recourse you may have is if the real estate agent had indicated the inclusion of appliances when showing you the property if they are not included - this would tie in with the property advert as someone has pointed out - does it list appliances?. If the advert includes any of…
  • Good luck with your journey and my hats off to you being brave enough to share the first steps.
  • this is the way to embed pics - but change the uppercase IMG to lowercase img ;)
  • I mix my tredmill workouts up so they don't get boring: Some long steady runs (5 to 10km, 30 to 60 minutes) Some Sprint/Jog intervals (2 minute intervals - 20 to 30 minutes) A steady incline run (fixed incline for 10 to 20 minutes) A 'pyramid' incline interval run (2 minute intervals at steadyily increasing inclines with…
  • I do something similar to this - using 1 kilo of turkey mince as a base - throwing in the rest ot ingredients and dividing into 5 small bowls gave me a nicely sized portion of around 200 calories each. It then gets bagged and frozen for the coming week or two.
  • No reason why you can't share it - as you say as long as you switch the settings over for each of you (sex/weight/age etc)
