So you're saying that you made it for him, but then had something else to save calories and then he was moaning about you not eating what he did, right? I think you were right. You gave him what he wanted, he should be happy.0

If you have the calories to accomodate the meal and you want it, you should eat it. If you have already planned out your remaining calories for something else you want, then eat that. There isn't really any right or wrong here...except I thought it was called TOAD in the hole. But what do I know, I've never eaten or cooked it!0

I'm assumin' your Husband is old enough to make his own 'told in the hole'...
You had every right to deny him that YOU weren't goin' to eat it.0 -
ahahahh yes TOAD IN THE HOLE it is ...opsa daisy its been a long day .
Nope hubby could not make his own but then teenager needed feeding aswell .
I shall enjoy my afters all the more now . Thanks guys0 -
You are doing right. It's your body and your choice for what you like to put in your body. My hubby was making fun of me a few weeks ago but I told him to be supportive. Now he seems stop doing that. I hope my healthy choice will set a good model for my entire family, for long run. Stick it!0

You were right. We get to use our splurge calories on what we are craving and need!! My husband does the same thing with me. He makes it hard at times. I guess we both have to be re trained with our eating habits! lol Keep up the good work! : }0

There are days when I have to cook three different meals. If anyone moaned the dogs would be eating extra:laugh:
Is he really moaning because he wants you to all eat the same (which seems a bit weird to me) or is there any other issue? Is he generally supportive of your life style change? Could he be feeling a bit bad for wanting fatty, stodgy Toad in the Hole knowing he isn't making healthy choices?0 -
The choices you make for your own goals are always the right ones(within reason)0

that's fine0

No - not the same as pigs in blankets - toad in the hole is a sausage cooked inside a batter that is similar to yorkshire puddings and then smothered in gravy
Buts pigs in blankets are rather nice too0 -

He moaned because he thought we was all having same , he wouldn't normaly moan tbh but I'm a few pounds lighter than him now maybe this is why0 -

Pigs in blankets are sausages wrapped in bacon, toad in the hole is sausages in a batter somewhat like yorkshire pudding....which isnt a pudding although is the same ingredients as pancakes!....ahh British food names!!!0 -

Pigs in blankets are indeed yummy!!! They're usually served as a canape or as an accompaniment to a Christmas dinner...they're little pork sausages that have been wrapped in either a slither of bacon or pancetta then roasted in the oven...deeeeelicious (but sadly not very low calorie!)0 -
i think you did the right thing 110%
you need to eat what you think is right to reach your goal. i would have done the same thing. in fact, i have done the same thing... quite often my boyfriend and father want to eat something "good and greasy"... which i make for them, then proceed to make something completely different for my mother and myself.
you go girl- you have great determination!!!0
