  • My dr said they were ok as long as they were not my main source of protein. You want to try to get your protein with real food. I use the sunwarrior protein powder that is plant based. I can get about 60 grams in but sometimes I need 80-100 and I have to add the powder in a smoothie.
  • My heart rate usually goes to 150s/160s and I try not to go over 170 because I think that is too much. I am almost 31 weeks along and have not changed much on my weight routine. Biceps-15 lbs, down from 20. Triceps 10-15lbs. I still lift sitting chest press is around 40-50lbs, down from 65. Some of my back exercises are…
  • At 21 weeks I am at 11 lbs. Have stayed the same for 2 weeks. Normally I can maintain my weight for 3 weeks and then it suddenly jumps 2 lbs. So weird. It averages out to about 1/2 lb a week. Not too bad
  • I eat 2100/day for maintenace. I am 5"7' with medium build. I was eating way less before pregnancy. I workout out on avg 5 days/week. I make sure to eat back my exercise calories, so I would add another 200-400 (normally) during the week. Weekends, I have long runs and I have to eat back a lot and that is hard to do on…
  • I have been a marathon runner for 7 years and am still doing half marathons. Last year I did an ultra and that was really awesome. I went back to the trail run where I did my 60k and did the 23k this year. I am 4 months right now and I have 2 half marathons left. The last one will be around 6 months along. I lift 3-4 days…
  • Due Aug 30th with Kentucky summers. Not as humid as some but enough for misery. I work in construction as a safety manager, so jeans and shirts with sleeves for me! Trying to find thinner shirts tho!
  • When I found out I was pregnant, I did what I thought was comfortable for my body. I did lower my weight, but did higher reps. You don't have to quit your lifting, just adjust it. My doctor told me to continue doing what I was before I became pregnant and I would know what my limits are. She is very right. I was feeling…
  • I have been doing maintenance + 100 calories since I found out I was pregnant. I am 13w3d along. When you are around 16-20 weeks, add more calories (about 200-300). Eating for two is NOT eating for two. People constantly push food at me "since I am eating for two" so be aware of that. It was really hard for me to eat…
  • I can totally see me having a meltdown on someone who was giving me the stink eye at a gym!! That is great. Where I workout, I am normally the only one there unless my DH is with me. It doesn't have a/c so I will be forced to join a real gym. I will keep in mind those that dare look at me weird! ha:wink:
  • I have 3 half marathons coming up. My last one I will be 25 weeks along. There are plenty of women who run while pregnant and I want to be able to do it too! Good luck, have fun, and just don't worry about your time!
  • I eat every 2 hrs like clockwork. Sometimes its 90 mins and then I am starving. I just try to make healthier decisions. Eating 2200 per day.
  • I am 10w2d and have only gained 2. I was up 4, but worked 12 hr shifts all last week and lost 2. Lots of stair and walking, but I was eating everything in sight. I had to trade in my healthier meals for meals that "stick to your ribs" since I was starving all the time.
  • August 30th here
  • I have been trying to minimize my artificial sweetner intake since we don't really know much about all of them. This is hard for me since I have always been a diet coke addict. I am really trying to drink tea without sugar. It is all what you get used to, I suppose.
  • I am 7 weeks pregnant and need to track to remind myself to watch my calories. I am hungry all the time. I am a runner and have been training for a half in March, one in April, and one in May. I always stop running in May due to the heat. I don't tolerate it well. Would love to add those who are expecting so we can gain…
  • Chocolate Gravy...it is either white or brown. No need to add chocolate!
  • That is awesome! You are a rock star! :glasses:
  • Breathe! You can only control your actions. If you eat something, it will make you feel worse. Take a 5 min walk and when you come back focus on what you can control.
