  • All of the above posts are so true. You need to make small changes and don't feel like you're depriving yourself. I've started over so many times I've lost count, and I can honestly say that if it hadn't been for the support I've received on MFP over the last few days, then I would probably have given up again. I've not…
  • Hi guys I am actually going to see a distributor today to get all I need for the next month. Would love any advice. My distributor has recommended the drop a dress size in a month programme for me. Anybody still doing the Herbalife plan feel free to add me Thanks Debbie
  • Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm going to give it another week on the 1200 calories and if I see no change then i'm going to up my calories to 1350 and see if that makes a difference. I'm not very good at doing exercise, but i'm going to start making more effort with that too. Deb x
  • Thanks for the comments and the link - which I will try and read today but it seems quite a long thread so may take me some time lol. I try to drink two litres of water a day - I don't always manage to drink that much but I don't drink fizzy drinks. I drink black coffee with no sugar, peppermint tea sometimes, boiled water…
  • I'm on 1200 calories a day but my TDEE - 20% says i should be eating at least 1550 calories - and that's with me saying i do very little exercise. Very confusing x
  • Hi I was given this link to look at - but to be honest i'm still none the wiser: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/974888-in-place-of-a-road-map-2k13 I'm also on 1200 cals a day and don't know which route to take for the best. Good Luck Debbie x
  • I love full fat milk - and even then it's still not that high percentage wise. Unfortunately i'm lactose intolerant so i tend to use soya milk, soya yogurts and feta cheese. Never seen almond milk in the shops in the UK, but then again i've never looked for it, but i will be next time i go shopping x
  • Thanks for all the comments which have made me realise that maybe i'm putting too much pressure on myself to lose weight too quickly. Yes the weight has gone on gradually so the best way to lose it and it keep it off is 1 - 1.5lbs a week. We all know that fad diets where you lose loads of weight really quickly, aren't…
  • I'm 42, 5ft 4.5ins and have a job where i sit down most of the day. I'm always busy when i get home though and have started doing aerobic exercises and going for walks. My 1200 calories is based on what MFP told me to consume, when i entered my details.
  • Thanks for the link - will def be reading it tonight x
  • Thank you. When people talk about doing 15 - 20 % deficit of their TDEE is this just to speed up weight loss. Also, is it something that should only be done, once you get near your goal?
  • I'm new to this too. Joined via my phone months ago and did nothing with it, but only started using it properly 5 days ago. I'm a bit confused as to what some of the abbreviations mean - BMR and TDEE. If anybody knows can you enlighten me. Deb x
  • bump - the recipies and suggestions on here look amazing x
  • Thanks so much for all the posts - they all make for interesting reading and they mage me giggle lol. I reckon one or two glasses a week shouldn't really do me any harm, but the main thing is that i'm sticking to my calories the rest of the week - and now i just need to get off my fat a*se and do some proper exercise.

  • I suffer with IBS and find that eating pasta, bread, raw peppers, some dairy products and processed foods all affect me. I had my bloods tested years ago and was told i have an intolerance to lactose and wheat flour - which would explain the discomfort and bloating i suffer for the foods mentioned above. The only thing…
  • Love the sound of the last recipe. Will definitely be trying it.
  • Thanks guys. I've been having a look for recipe ideas to stop me getting bored. There are some great ideas on this site.
  • Some great suggestions. Think i'll give some of these a try as i'm a bit sick of eggs for breakfast.
  • sounds delicious and something my daughter would like too
  • I love pork chops/steaks so will def be trying some of these recipies - thanks guys
  • newbie to this so bump for later - will need to check the conversions though as most recipies use cup measurements and i'm not too familiar with them.
  • I will definitely be having a look at this website over the next day or so. Thanks for the tip Deb
