When I started out I couldn't even run for a minute on the treamill before I wanted to take a walk break. Now, I can run for 30+ min and do so 3-4 times a week and I have registered for a few races this year. I lost my first 15lbs by circuit training and logging my food. I got into running as my main form of exercise I…

I've been on metformin for 3 years. I take 250 3x a day. When I started metformin I lost 10 pounds without excerising. I was always running to the washroom, nothing agreed with my stomach because I was eating the same as I was before taking the pills. I'm pretty sure those 10 pounds were mainly water weight so I ended up…

Here would be my suggestions that work for me: 1. Make lunches the night before 2. After the kids are in bed, workout with an at home dvd (i like Jillian Micheals dvds, most are only 20 min and only require a set of handweights or soup cans!). Then take your shower at night. These things allow you to sleep a little longer,…

I started eating at what MFP says. Then switch to TDEE with the 20% cut to switch things up. Experiment with what you body feels is right.

Give it some time. I used to follow the recommended 1lb per week loss by eating 1200 calories that MFP gave me for about 8 months (Oct 2011-May 2012). I worked out 3x a week and ate my exercise calories back during this time. I was able to go from 165 lbs to 145lbs that way. Keep in mind that this was very slow weight…

I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago. I pretty much diagnosed myself after realizing that my hair growth in comparison to my friends/family wasn't "normal". I was constantly getting my sideburns waxed and during one appointment, my esthetician said that a few of her clients had a similar hair pattern and were recently…

It was always a goal of mine to learn how to run. I really enjoy interval training and have seen my progress. I started out by doing a jog/walk combo where I jogged at 4.5mph for 2 min and walked at 2.5 mp until I caught my breath. After a week or so I increased this to jogging at 5.5mph for 2 min and walking at 3.5mph.…

Hi everyone! My name is Paige and I'm 5'1 weighing in at 149.5 lbs. My mini goal is to be 138 lbs which would put me at a normal BMI, and my long-term goal would be 130 lbs. I joined MFP last year but kind of fell off the wagon. This year has been much better in terms of success. I found a personal trainer who I see once a…
