  • The only wrong reason I see is to try to "win" a guy/girl. "If you lose weight I might get with you..." If that was the case I would lose the weight, hit it, quit it and move on to something better. So I guess it would still be for me.
  • I also love egg nog. We found a low fat one that is lower fat (obviously - lol!) and lower caloire but honestly the taste is still just as good. Also, what I would do is go into your tracker ahead of time and see how much it would "cost" and then factor it in. Maybe have it 1-2 times a week. As long as it fits you should…

  • I reallllly want to be able to do a regular push-up. I have been doing the modified push-up's several times a week (except this week since I have a shoulder injury) I found this youtube video that shows how you can build up to doing regular push-ups. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiFdfDBY77g I think its pretty helpful. :)
  • Sadly I am too broke to buy new clothes so I have still been wearing alot of my "way too big" clothes. (The ones that literally fall off I donated.) Last week, someone in another department at work came to me and asked me what size I wore because I was looking really good with all my weight loss  but I was also…
  • TO THE PAIN! Westley: To the pain means the first thing you will lose will be your feet below the ankles. Then your hands at the wrists. Next your nose. Prince Humperdinck: And then my tongue I suppose, I killed you too quickly the last time. A mistake I don’t mean to duplicate tonight. Westley: I wasn’t finished. The next…
  • Larisonlj, I know what you mean. I just wait until I see them say something or pose a question. I try not to "police" other people. I am just trying to be a support.
  • made these and they were very taasty!
  • So what is a good target rate to try to keep my heart rate at? I honestly don't know. ETA: I guess what I mean is, if the 2 ends of HR is resting and Maximum, how do I know what is the most effective range to keep my heart rate at. My max can spike quite high so I don't really know what is "normal".
  • I have been going back and forth in my head for a couple months about it. Made the decision last week I am joining the gym tomorrow after work. I am super excited about it too.
  • I miss Opie. He can visit my thigh gap any day.
  • I like this. People ask me all the time "What kind of diet are you on?" or "What are you eating to lose so much weight?" and this is my response. (IMHO) You should eat the foods to lose weight that you plan on eating the rest of your life. If you don't, once you go back to eating your "regular" foods, you will gain it all…
  • Howdy, I am 40 and suffer from chronic and debilitating migraines. In addition to rescue meds I also am on daily meds for my migraines. I also have hypothyroid and am on medication for that as well. Having thyroid issues (and PCOS) has not stopped me from losing weight. And I do not use anything as an excuse not to…
  • There have been times that MFP has logged some ridiculous calories burned for me. I just don't eat them back, or I only eat a small portion of them back. I only log the exercise that I do to log the exercise, not to get more calories to eat. I have asked for an HRM for Christmas (which given that I suffer from SVT) would…
  • Same thing over here! I get made fun of (all in good fun) for having an electric blanket at my desk at work. My office is 72 degrees. CONGRATS!!!
  • I understand completely and I wish you all the best in the world! (truly I do) and as someone who suffers from migraines, back pain, knee pain, and shoulder pain I do truly understand. The weight loss has helped me and I hope it helps you as well. Glad you hear you are making other changes as well. If you would like to add…
  • I support every one of my friends. If you would like to add me feel free. ETA: I am still losing (have about another 100 to go)
  • I am on Topamax for chronic and severe migraines. Appetite was affected the first few weeks but my body adjusted. The only side effect I have now is that all carbonated beverages taste like a weird combo of vinegar and dirt. I also have to have blood tests every 3-4 months to make sure that I am not having any other side…
  • Howdy Peeps I am 40 (and fabulous) and am always looking for new friends of any size, shape, age or gender! I like being a support to people and getting support back from them! If you are interested, just ADD away. :)
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS about 12 years ago. I have never taken anything for it. I tend to eat lower carb (under 100 carbs a day typically) and have lost all my weight that way. After I had lost about 40 pounds my symptoms started to reduce. Now I have a regular cycle again that is typically pain free.
  • I just reached my 100 pound mark. I wrote a blog about it with pics if anyone is interested. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/amydee714/view/my-100-pound-loss-blog-yes-with-pics-449387
  • not dreading anything food related. I don't have any issues resisting temptation. There are personal things that I am dreading, but I am not going to be debbie downer here. lol
  • What about Frozen Yogurt? Lower in fat and calories. Still dessert and still DELISH
  • They are definitely using their thyroid condition as an excuse. If they are on medication and their numbers are "in line", then they would be fine. I am. I have had a thyroid condition for about 6-7 years. I have been able to lose weight no problem... once I made the decision to that is.
  • Only losing 2 pounds a week? I had to read that twice to make sure I wasn't confused. What exactly is wrong with losing 2 pounds a week?
  • I usually plateau the week before, but I don't gain. I don't eat anything different so I think the plateau is compensation for what I would have lost were it not for water weight. :ohwell:
  • I live with my 2 adult children (ages 19 and 20) and they bring pizza into the house 3-4 times a week. It is my choice to eat it or not. If I do choose to eat it (or the chips or the cookies or any of the other assorted junk food), I will not feel guilty for it. Your husband DID wait until you went to bed which doesn't…
  • That is Awesomesauce!
