  • One of my resolutions for the new year is to complete P90X, but I'm only 3 weeks into Power 90 and I can't do a pull-up to save my life, so I'd better get through P90 first and see if I can move up from there. I think P90 should be done for me towards the end of February if memory serves.
  • But having a cleavage avatar is completely fine? :flowerforyou:
  • Several years ago I lost 70 pounds in about 7-8 months and it came off really easy. Of course I gained most of that back and now I can't seem to shake the weight to save my life. When I lost all that weight a few years back I think it was the switch from massive quantities of full-octane Mountain Dew every day to either…
  • I took it several years ago and it was fairly easy to quit smoking on it, but I had crazy dreams. A few months after I was off of it I had a heart attack at 37 years old. No history of it in the family. There's been some studies done that Chantix increases heart risks. Maybe it was a coincidence that I was on Chantix…
  • I heart this post. While I haven't done the spreadsheet work, I shocked myself a couple of weeks ago. I was getting frustrated that my weight wasn't coming off and I would go what seemed like weeks without losing much if anything, but when I took my current weight and compared it to my starting weight, I was averaging 2…
  • Anyone know the recommended gauge needle for a gravy IV drip right into a vein?
  • I'm finishing up the 30DS and was looking for something else afterwards. Right now I'm leaning towards Power 90 next. I was contemplating jumping into P90X but I'm just not sure that I could even do enough of it to make it worthwhile so I'm working on baby-stepping it there. I do have a goal of having P90X and possibly…
  • I think the MFP numbers are closer for other people, but there's way too many factors for it to be considered accurate for everyone. Don't even get me going on Endomondo estimates. LOL Anyway, MFP is pretty close for me when I compare it with my Polar HRM, so I'm fairly comfortable with using the MFP numbers when I don't…
  • That's crazy. I've never even heard of it, let alone been in tune enough to notice the pattern of it. What do you guys look for? I wonder if that's why some days I have what I call "thimble bladder" where it seems like I'm peeing every 10 minutes. lol
  • I was working with Margie and we couldn't get it working right, so let's try this again. The file is at: http://db.tt/Sc2kTfN5 I will also email it to you. You'll need to save it somewhere on your phone's storage after you have the app installed. I'm not sure if it needs to go into that folder or if it just needs to be on…
  • I would love to be in onederland by New Years, but since my weight has been refusing to come off, I don't think that I will be joining you guys.
  • Holy cow, if I ever saw sharks skydiving, I'd know we were in for it... Please tell me they didn't have lasers on their heads too!
  • My brother-in-law just got one. It's ginormous. It fits in his pocket, but don't plan on wearing skinny jeans with it. It's not a WHOLE lot smaller than my wife's Kindle Fire. A lot thinner though. It's really nice, I wish I had one.
  • ^^^ This Your HRM will give you more accurate numbers if you set your age/weight/etc correctly while the FitBit is a pedometer gadget where you could get virtually the same results from one of those free or dirt cheap pedometers if you wanted to log the data manually.
  • I just finished Level 1 on Friday. I took before measurements and after level 1 I hadn't lost any weight or inches. I'm not terribly shocked as it seems that I'm not destined to lose weight or gain muscle (*shakes fist at sky*) and I've decided to stay off of the scale while I do level 2.
  • Email sent with rudimentary instructions.
  • I'm in about the same boat as you. My scale has just swung up or down 2 pounds for about 4-6 weeks and it's frustrating. I'm almost done with level 1 of the 30 Day Shred and I took measurements before and I will take some this weekend after the first 10 days is done, but I'm not really expecting much. I did over 100 miles…
  • I'm kinda curious myself. I just did Day 7 of Level 1 last night and the first 3 days I was so sore I could hardly move the next day, and the last few days I'm not sore at all and I feel like I'm pushing myself pretty hard. I took a whole mess of measurements before I started and I'm going to measure after each level, but…

  • I was just toying around with the idea of getting the new Nexus 4 for $349 at the Play store and then pairing it with one of the T-Mobile $30 per month plans...

  • I tweaked some of the times on the Strength portions this weekend. I'm going to tackle the second 5 days of level 1 this week after taking the weekend off with trick or treating and general laziness. I will work on getting level 2 entered into the app, and I'm also going to make some super workouts that combine elements of…
  • I shot you a message this morning!
  • Ok, I did another post that talks about what I did with my 30DS workout and my phone. Read the exciting post here! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/779732-android-nerd-s-30-day-shred-level-1
  • I just did Level 1 - Day 3 last night and today I feel pretty good. I was REALLY sore after days 1 & 2 to the point I wasn't sure I could even DO day 3 last night. I also watched the video the first night and realized that the video itself is pretty lame so I created the workout in an app on my phone so I don't need to…
  • At this point I can't recommend Endomondo to anyone if they're using it to calculate calorie burn. If they want to use the other features of it, it's a decent app, although I think there are better ones out there. I use Runkeeper and have for over a year. It's calorie numbers are pretty similar to MFP. For grins last night…
  • Oh I'm subscribing to this for sure!
  • I've been casually looking at lightweight running jackets that have reflective stripes on them as well as zippers for venting. You'd think where you are you'd be more concerned with running in the snow. :p
