Great attitude! I did it slowly too, it took me about 1 year or so to get to my initial goal of a size 12 but I figured a long time slowly getting slimmer, is better than a long time slowly getting bigger. I started similar to you, I'm 5'8 and was 13 stone. Now 10'10 and trying to get to around 10 stone.

I grill them or bake them in the oven with nothing or use one cal spray oil.

Without much exercise it took me a month or two. If you really got into regular exercise as well as eating well you'd likely do it sooner.

Hi, I'm from Lincolnshire too :) I've recently come back to MFP and trying to stay on track. I think it's always good to go back and log your food even if you've had a bad weekend. It helps you stay mindful about what you eat later on in the week, and you might even find that on average the calories evened out ok in the…

Good work, you look great.

I drink a big glass of water if I'm hungry or eat a piece of fruit. If it's late and I'm tempted to raid the cupboards through hunger, I get go to bed and get an early night instead.

Hi, I'm from the UK. I've been maintaining the past year but I've come back to start logging so I don't let my will power slide!
-
I'm not sure about maintenance but when I first joined I had my diary set to 1200 cals. I found that after a while the weight wasn't shifting. Someone suggested I upped my calorie intake and it started dropping off again. I used this calculator to find out what I needed to consume and maintain and it's worked for me so…

The only exercise I do is walk to work and back 5 times a week (80 mins a day). I dropped from a size 16 to a 10 but I ate better too.

You look stunning, so much younger looking too x

I got some knee high boots at Christmas and they actually fit over my calves for once... Having more choice of clothing, and not feeling depressed every time I hit the town because I hate the way I look is the best feeling.

Take it easy, don't make loads of drastic changes at once or you'll feel overwhelmed. Set some small goals and look at how you can make small changes without missing out. I started by cutting bits out of my usual meals. So I'd swap burger in a bun with fries, for a burger without the bun and a large portion of salad on the…

Hi! This site really helped me, I hope it does for you too.

I too love sugar, and this was tough for me. I switched my regular chocolate bars to those mini bars like chomps, taz, and fudge. I drank fruity teas and and ate sweet fruits to combat my sugar cravings. Don't buy anything sweet in your weekly shop, if its not there you cant eat it. I only looked at a day or two in your…

Mine is open, but not a great example of how to eat well...!

When I was working in a tattoo studio we had a lady that came in on her 80's birthday for a tattoo. She was telling us that her recently passed away husband had lots of tattoos and she'd always admired them. I memory of him she got a little tattoo on her shoulder. She was lovely, she said no-one would see it anyway and it…

Print your MFP diary :) Try and find out what sort of food you will be eating there and log suggested daily menus/ food items in your MFP diary, print of some examples of past 'good' days, also do a screen copy of a diary day just filled with all your regular food so you have a sheet of all the nutrients/ calories they…

Maybe he just doesn't know where his talents lie and might benefit from a good careers advisor. It can be hard to keep / get jobs right now and if he keeps picking jobs he hates he won't get anywhere. He needs to think about what he really wants to do with his life. Have a chat with him :)

BBC Good Food website has some great recipes and you can save them in a binder. Try a nice Beef Stew with lots of veggies!

McDonalds Sausage & Egg Muffin meal with hashbrowns, two pots of ketchup and a latte or s Full English Breakfast :)

Wear really saucy underwear and stockings underneath your work clothes, no one will know and you will feel like you have a cheeky secret.

Try caffeine free fruit teas instead, or green tea. I'm currently loving Twinings Blackcurrant, Vanilla and Ginseng fusion, it's nice and you can drink it hot or chilled. I don't really like water, especially when it's cold. I tend to add blackcurrant or orange squash to it instead.
