  • Well, I got on the scale this morning and was up 3 pounds from my weigh in two weeks ago. I'm not totally surprised being that I was at summer camp for a week and couldn't track anything I was eating...I'm not too terribly upset about it... Good job everyone! Keep up the awesome work.... Oh, and rookieswife....GO PACK…
  • Tim and rookieswife-wonderful job!! You guys rock! I didn't post last week-I was out of town and away from the internet so I couldn't keep in touch. I was actually at summer camp doing my pediatric rotation for my nursing clinical. As you can imagine, eating well was pretty difficult because I didn't have a whole lot of…
  • I totally feel your pain on this one!! I started running and went through a bunch of different sports bras with no luck. The one I swear by now is made by Under Armour...I think it was called "strength". They are pricey-like $50 but was so completely worth it in my opinion!
  • If you click on "settings" under home, you can edit your signature. If you put your ticker code into the signature, it comes up every time!
  • Me too! I much prefer the subs! So, I guess that its good news then!
  • So, kinda strange question...actually, less of a question and more of an observation. I was looking on Subway's website at their nutrition (I might have to grab something on the go for dinner tonight) and I noticed that the wraps at Subway have more calories and carbs than the 6" subs...does anyone else find that a little…
  • Haha-that is how I feel! However, my husband convinced me that Mariokart would be a good buy and I am straight addicted to it!! The cool part is, if you have wifi in your house, you can play with people all over the world! Kinda neat...my friend in Colorado and I play against each other sometimes... I really want to get…
  • Well, I weighed in...I'm not to the weight that I was when I left MFP....but, lost 6 pounds since last Monday! Yipee!! I am sure that so much of it is the increase in water intake I've done since I fell off the wagon a couple months ago...but I'm still proud and motivated! So... 6/9- 191.4 (back to MFP and JGC) 6/18- 185.4…
  • Wish I could help you on this one...I know just how completely annoying that is when you can't figure out what song it is!! Can you think of any of the other lyrics? Did you hear it on the radio?
  • Welcome to MFP! You'll find lots of great support from the wonderful people on this site-good luck to you on your journey!

  • cp-Congrats so far on your loss! You are doing great and are a real inspiration for me to try and keep motivated. lizard-Sounds like you had a fun week :) Congratulations on the engagement! That's awesome! I'm going to weigh in tomorrow because I spaced it yesterday morning. I used to weigh in on Wednesdays anyway, so I…
  • The bike shop just called and my bike is fixed!! Hooray!! Now I can finally join in posting with you guys. First ride will be tonight...there is a fun weekend festival that starts tonight with fireworks so we are planning on taking the long way there on the bikes. Hopefully it doesn't rain too much!
  • YAY!! Good for you! Congrats!
  • I'm in it with you Heidi! Oh, and I read the banner instructions that were posted...got it!
  • Heidi-welcome back! I'm in a similar boat as you-back after a couple months of slacking bit time! We are all here to support you. You've made the biggest step by climbing back on the wagon-good for you! You have the perfect attitude for success and I have no doubt that you will succeed! Oh, and the banners...I'm still…
  • It's definitely a personal choice...but I do mine every other week. Just make sure, that like weighing yourself, you are doing it at the same day and time each time-that way you have less variables to think about.
  • Thanks all for the info-you guys are great! I guess I'll just wait it out a bit and see if it fruits...
  • Really? Not a single gardener out there? Well I thought it might be a little too off topic...but it was worth a try!
  • Ok, so we have a fabulous garden that is starting to really produce (thanks to all this midwest rain lately) and I have a question about my coriander/cilantro plant. It has bolted, and is flowering and I have read on a lot of websites that once it bolts and you harvest the cilantro, you need to re-sow. My problem...it…
  • I just changed cable providers and finally get Bravo! I watched it for the first time the other day too... You can watch it online (like sapphyre said) and if for some reason that doesn't work for you, they rerun and do marathons often.
  • You are right- YOU have nothing to be ashamed of! You are going to totally rock it at the gym And when you finish up, you're going to feel oh so awesome!!
  • BreaNix and tamrajd-thank you both! Your words give me just the "oomph" I need!
  • Thank you wildkitty and harleygal :flowerforyou: I really appreciate the awesome supportive words. I felt so deflated when I got home and down on myself-but I knew that some fellow MFPers could help pick me up!!
  • :frown: So, I'm back on MFP after falling off the wagon for quite a while. Up about 12 pounds and have been doing pretty poorly with eating and exercising. My excuse is that I'm in nursing school and just got done with 6 weeks of a brutal clinical schedule. I couldn't schedule myself properly to take time to take care of…
  • Thanks lizard! Yeah, I fell off the wagon big time, but I was just so busy with school I made bad choices as far as prioritizing goes. But, I'm back and even more determined! Wow, can I just say-38 pounds! Congrats! Totally inspiring-good for you. I can understand your worry about your training...hard to break from a…
  • Perfect! Just what I was looking for-thanks!
  • My bike is in the shop till Wednesday, but I would like to join this challenge when I get it back! Sounds like fun! On the same note, I remember seeing on a post here at some point a link to a map that would let you pick points and give you the mileage. That way you could get your miles accounting for any twists and turns,…
  • I joined the July goal challenge a while ago, and in the last month or so, completely fell off the wagon. I am in nursing school and was going through clinical and a very busy time. I wasn't exercising, eating pretty crappy and just generally not taking care of myself. But, I have a renewed sense of motivation and I'm…
  • Thanks everyone for the encouragement!! I really appreciate all the kind words...and for those of you joining me back on the wagon-there is plenty of room-let's hang on tight!!!
  • I've had a pretty rough last few weeks.:grumble: I have been at a plateau for over five weeks and the scale just hadn't budged. I tried different things-eating more calories, eating less, exercising more, calorie shifting, drinking more water-nothing really did the trick. So this week I was completely disheartened by the…
