Try something like vanilla greek Yogurt and strawberries. It feels really rich but is not the same sort of disaster as reaching for icecream.

Say to yourself that you must look after yourself to look after others. It may be too hard right now to be strict on yourself, relax a little, but try not to give yourself "permission" to throw all your gains out the window. Aim to keep steady and view that as a huge achievement.

Good luck. What a great goal to have. Plenty of people to give you support here and it isn't threatening, so go for it. It is going to be stressful with your husband away, but nurture yourself so that you can be ready to nurture him on his return.

Please don't. You have to re-educate yourself to enjoy GOOD food and have a healthy relationship with it. Good post. I was always running dry before MFP. I have found that reducing sugar and refined foods has somehow (and I don't know why) got me drinking more water. I use to really struggle but now I drink plenty without a second thought.

Garlic powder? Why not fresh garlic? Can't you get it where you are? Fresh garlic is a wonderful food and tastes so damned good!

OK. So today, big exercise day, I had an allocation of 1850 calories and ate 1620 calories. Is that OK? Have I eaten too much or too little?

It is Australia Day and almost over. I went for a 10 km run, then worked :( as I am a teacher and school is back on Monday. We had butterflied lamb roast and salad for dinner- meant to be BBQ'd but ran out of gas- and red wine. Nice day overall.

Had a quick look. The bit on Carbs and metabolism looked interesting. The obesity articles are of less interest as I am not obese, just overweight. I appreciate your effort here, but the practicality is, too busy t wade through. i am studting myself and have enough journal articles to get through!
