I've been working with some stomach issues for the past year or so and peppermint tea almost always soothes. I've now replaced coffee entirely with it and just drink peppermint tea in the mornings (along with an afternoon cup sometimes).

In all fairness a "bowl of spaghetti" for me is generally about 3x the size it should be, drenched in butter (like enough to leave a serious puddle at the bottom) and then covered in half a block of cheese.

Isn't that bulimia?
-
Had a Sri Lankan co-worker for a short time and he brought some tea back with him. It was absolutely delicious.

I actually have the same issue and feel the same way -- the weird thing for me though is that it's a relatively recent issue. I'm fine at work with people I know and with clients but in outside social situations where I don't know people I'm extremely uncomfortable and clam up. I never had that issue until a few years ago.…

I love fish tilapia...and beef tilapia and pork tilapia. good stuff. Yes I'm being an *kitten*.

Yes this is what it looks like on the health app. The MFP app automatically transfers this info into my exercise diary.

Mine did it automatically

See in my mind it seems like this is the most simple way. Why eat a different amount than I'm eventually going to eat anyway? If I plug it in for 2lbs per week MFP puts me less than 1500 cals. I've been eating 1500 cals and I'm tired and have very little energy most of the time. That's what triggered this question in the…

I changed my calories up to 2000 (maintenance for 160 when I calculated it was like 1959 or something...would rather have it rounded). We'll see how it goes.
-
I'm not eating at maintenance for 160 right now. I'm actually eating about 500 cals under what I should be eating for 160.
-
I guess I should have specified...I would set my calories at maintenance but try to eat at least a couple hundred under each day. Often times I do that even now.
-
I pretty much do the same on Easter. Sometimes I'll have breakfast. I'm all about the cadbury cream eggs.

Basically this. I bought a house this year and plan to host thanksgiving dinner for the first time. I'm not planning on substituting anything really. Halloween is a fairly easy one to control. Christmas is by far my biggest weakness. Usually from Dec 1-25 I am making every Christmas treat I can think of...and eating them…

That sounds like a review I would believe. I've had sugar free maple syrups before and they are just...awful. Awful in every way possible.
-
I'm in. Today I want to get back on track after losing control a bit yesterday. So that means 3 bottles of water throughout the day, no excessive snacking, and cooking the dinner I had planned on cooking last night.

Not to be a downer...but i predict you'll last less than a week. Not because it's impossible...but because your mind set sucks. Plenty of people on this board are proof that it's possible. Yes calories in food can be atrocious. Healthy eating doesn't mean you can't ever eat those things...it means have them in moderation…

I think the point of your question however is why are people hating on zero calorie foods? And it's because of the chemicals. Personally I think they probably won't make a major difference in anything unless you're taking in massive amounts of them...so eat what you like.
-
I still think "really good especially for zero calories" just isn't worth it. Maybe I'm a food snob but unless it says "this zero calorie food tastes better than the real sugar version" I just can't get on board. It's like when coke came out with coke zero and said "tastes just like real coke" -- no it doesn't...because if…

I haven't tried them so I'm not going to be the one to be able to comment on those specifically but the way I see it is this... If the best way you can describe them is "they are pretty good for zero calories" they probably aren't worth eating. People can believe what they want about sugar alternatives but the fact is they…

What is it that we get different in the US that you don't get in the UK

Damn...that riddle was way too easy I guess. :)

What has 70 lbs to lose and loves riddles too?

Yes -- follow these steps: 1) Take one cup of beans and rinse thoroughly 2) Rub your belly and say in a very gruff voice "MMMM Beannnnsss" 3) Sing the "beans beans the magical fruit" song. 4) Kiss your wife (or husband. Whatever) 5) Dump out half the cup of beans. 6) Eat the remaining half.

Frozen fruits and veggies are fine. if you're wanting frozen dinners check out the Amy's stuff and the Evol stuff. Both good. Just pay attention to the nutritional information if you're trying to lose weight.
