Can anyone suggest some alternatives to fajita tacos or fajitas? I am burnt out but not sure what to eat. We eat Mexican out every week on the same day.

Some mexican places have a chicken vegetable soup, that might be a positive choice.0

I'm assuming that you are in Texas so we're talking about Tex-Mex. When I get tired of fajitas, or want something cheaper, I will usually get tortilla soup.
We don't have many authentic Mexican restaurants close to me, but those will usually have lots of grilled meats and fish.0 -
Here are some of the things I usually get at local mexican restaurants: taco salad without the shell, chicken enchiladas verdes, carne asada, chicken mole, fish tacos, or fajitas.
Just check the menu out before you go and look at the database for some comparable dishes. Almost anything can fit if you plan for it.0 -

Not to be a stickler, but you're likely eating Tex-Mex everyday, not authentic Mexican... especially if you're from Texas (I noted your username).0

I like chicken chile verde, chicken chile colorado, , fish tacos, and ceviche. On the side, I always ask to substitute lettuce for the rice and beans, pour salsa on the lettuce and eat it as salad.

Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, it's Tex-Mex. I have children from Guatemala, so I am familiar with true Hispanic and Mayan dishes. Some good suggestions here but their menu isn't too broad. I haven't seen a lot of what has been suggested. They don't have a chicken and vegetable or chicken tortilla soup, which is a crying shame. It is a larger restaurant but not a chain, so no nutritional information. I almost always skip the extra oil, soy, cheese, sour cream, queso, fried shells, etc but probably the reason I am getting bored. It is just so hard to quantify the extras. One dish I like is chicken rancheras, cut the soy and oil but I have worn that dish out too. Chicken enchiladas verde is a good suggestion. I will try that. Not sure if they have fish tacos. I will look. The refried, I don't care for and no charro0

We eat Mexican food at a small family owned place here . my favorite is what they call salad bowl. Its lettuce with veggies , grilled chicken, grilled pineapple and avocado. I pour salsa on it instead of cheese they normally serve with it.0

Vegetable fajiats without the tortillas are very filling and pretty low in calories especially when you skip the cheese and sour cream. Leaves room for a margarita.0
