Um, no. You don't need to consume dairy to make dairy. Some babies can't tolerate cow's milk protein in breast milk and the mom has to cut it out of her diet. Doesn't mean the baby is malnourished, as long as milk production is fine. Also, they recommend Vitamin D drops for EBF babies.

I've knew someone who did it. They lost tons of weight quickly and gained it all back when they stopped.

If you need some motivatio head to the dog food aisle at the grocery store. Pick up a bag equal to the amount of weight you've lost so far. You'll feel just how much weight you've lost.

You could cut off a leg? (sorry, that's not helpful, but I couldn't help myself. There's no healthy way to lose that amount of weight "quickly". You didn't put the weight on overnight, you won't lose it overnight. Good luck!)

This advice applies to everyone, not just people with thyroid issues.... weigh out your food with a scale. When people start tracking the often times eye-ball their portions, and most people get it wrong. Try that for a few weeks and see what happens. Best of luck!

From a calorie standpoint a calorie is a calorie. Therefore if you need to eat at 1500 calories to lose weight then calorically it doesn't matter if it comes from kale or twinkies. Nutritionally speaking you're better off with nutritious food, it's better for you and will keep you more satiated.

eggs, cottage cheese, a good greek yogurt (like Fage or Chobani, there are so many crappy fake greek yogurts out there), a protein shake, smoked salmon, or even a bagel thin or bagel with turkey on it.
