I bought a Polar FT7 and I love it. It's basic. Just tells you the heart rate and how many calories you're burning and the duration of your work out. You can also set a % rate where it will beep if you're under or over your max heart rate. Oh, it also tells me if i'm in the "fat burn" zone or if i'm in the "fitness burn"…

avoid those fruity mix drinks. packed with calories. if you absolutely have to have alcohol. martinis or just plain shots!LOL if you get anything like rum & coke or vodka and sprite make sure the sodas or tonic water is diet and then dance your *kitten* off and burn those calories!

What's worse is i am short AND have a long torso. so talk about long legs? never in my lifetime ^_^ 5'4 BMI 20.8 BF 27% (dunno how accurate that is without doing the water weighing thing) Size 4 or 5 (small in tops)

I use to HATE jogging but i actually enjoy it now because of the calorie burn but I agree with Skinnylove, power walking does the job sometimes too :)

Try Calorie cycling or zig zagging. eating high calories one day & lower another but staying within the total for the week. It usually helps break plateaus. Your body gets used to the normal 1200/cal a day.

I use a heart rate monitor & not listen to the dam machines! ^_^ One day the elliptical said I burned about 200 & my HRM says 190 (guess I wasn't working that hard) but another day the machine said 200 & my HRM said 350! I AGREE. I LOVE my HRM too! sometimes I can burn more calories doing the same exact exercise for the same amount of time (maybe I had more energy due to coffee?) so it is important to me to use the HRM and get a more accurate number of calories burned.
