Before this last month how much weight did you lose and over what time frame? You state that you aim for 148g carbs a day, but the only daily food example you gave had you eating a turkey burger on wheat w 2 boiled eggs and 4oz chicken breast later w some veggies. I actually have the same problem. I only drink three drinks: water, coke, and beer and I find it very difficult to stop drinking two out of the three. When I want some flavor I drink Poweraid Zero. I'm sure the chemicals in them are bad for me but at least I get some flavor without the calories.

To me it means changing my habits in regards to food. It can be as simple as eating only 3 slices of pizza instead of 5 slices (not overeating) or avoiding all red meat, but changes need to be made. I find it very difficult to break 40 years of habits.

This morning I pan fried some top round steak in cocconut oil and had that with half an avocado and a couple of slices of watermelon. I agree. I don't want to have eggs every breakfast, but I do have them most of the time, because they are easy, delicious, and inexpensive.

Every one I know who has done keto (less than 25grams of carbs per day) has lost significant weight. But none of these people including myself have continued to eat that low carb. It is too restricting.

For me I seem to be waking up earlier and needing a little less sleep. I almost don't even need to set the alarm clock any more.

I just started eating Paleo. Today is day 4. Day 2 and day 3 I had no energy and didn't feel too well, but no sore throat. Yesterday, day 3, I just wanted to rip someone's head off and I am never like that. I had no patience with anything. Today my energy is much better.

I am not sure where to buy raw nuts. I don't think they carry them at my regular grocery store. Would trader joes have raw nuts or do I need to visit the health food store?

Great to hear that sweet potatoes are fine. I am going to have one tonight. I will finish the cashews I have and then re-think whether or not to continue eating them. Right now I eat about an ounce a day as a snack which really isn't very much.

Are you allowed to bring in your own snacks to the movie theater? I haven't had popcorn or a coke in at least five months, but I very much enjoy them. There is something in the movie theater butter that just makes it so that I can't stop eating it.

When I make my own pasta sauce I add salt and sugar to it, but at least I can control how much is being added or whether or not I add it.

But the foods are addictive like any drug and you can not avoid eating as easily as you can avoid using recreational drugs.

Another reason why the food industry pushes crap over whole foods is because whole foods take a lot of time to produce/grow. They only need a bunch of man made chemicals to produce a lot of the crap food like coke, so they are limited to the amount of whole foods that can be produced.

I notice but I try real hard to not pass any judgement on any one for their grocery choices. It's their business not mine. And we have all at one time or another bought something we were embarassed of like condoms.

On the weeks where I binge on the weekends I tend to lose very little weight . On the weeks when I don't binge on the weekends I do very well.
