i ran the virgin london marathon without a water belt, plenty of water on route. that said, i did run with a smaller belt, for phone, money and jelly beans! you wont need it for water if the event is well managed good luck and have fun, its worth the effort

I find it easier to try to log most of what i plan to eat the day before, that gets it pretty much done, and planned in advance. It also stops me eating stuff I have not checked out. At theend of the day I catch up, complete correct any differences and then plan the next day. And yes some repetition, breakfast is usually…

just enjoy the 10k, the time will be what it will be, use that as a target to beat for your next one. Just enjoy the feeling of finishing:smile:

it was my sons yesterday, and I had a small piece of cake, and enjoyed it, its not a diet! its a life change. Just make sure the one piece does not allow you feel you can eat much more!

I take a rest day, it allows your body to repair itself! in building it up, you do put additional stress on yourself. That said, I have taken to a good walk on a rest day, makes me feel better!

50 at 50, I like it, great idea, i am 50 ( hurts saying that) and yes loosing 50lbs would be about right. Support group would be great, not sure of the process, but I would be happy to be friended!

in my opinion, rather than run every day, you should take a day off running every other day, its OK to do some other excercise on the alternate days, such as cycling, swimming, etc. Also you need to allow your body chance to repair, so one day should be a rest day-no excercise!! my week looks like this Tuesday- Run…
