It can be really easy to get pulled along at a faster pace than you are comfortable with at the beginning of a race. Start slow and walk through the water stations so you get enough fluids and don't cramp.

I've been IFing for a couple of weeks now (11-7) and really enjoying it. Sorry but I just don't think it is possible. Without your stats it is hard to tell you how much you could loose but I would say about 8 pounds max.

One way to knock out a lot of calories is eating avocado. 1/2 avocado (hass) has around 250 calories and takes care of some beneficial fats, protein, and caratenoids.

I know the high school in my area allows anyone to use it. You may want to look into that.

I'm hoping you meant to put your drinking between 60-100 ounces of water a day. If not, that is where you're problem lies.

Buy a yoga dvd. You use your own body weight as resistance and it works every muscle group in the body.

I have to agree with Lucas. Especially if you are doing any weight bearing exercises you want the extra protein.
