I viewed your food diary, and you are not eating enough. And the food you are eating is not good for you. You should be eating a more balanced diet. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. I see that you are not having any of these. I agree you should be able to treat yourself from time to time. Everything in…

Good luck with your journey. Remember to log in everything you put into your mouth. Be honest and you will achieve your goals!

I know that you are trying to monitor your calorie intake, but try having a small snack in between meals. Having something to eat every few hours usually keeps the hunger away. And also boosts your metabolism. You should always be able to fit in snacks in your daily caloric allowance. It is something I have also gotten…

I try not to let the scale discourage me. Thanks for the words of advise!

Ive always had problems with constipation. I find that probiotics work best. You can get them at any pharmacy, and they are not meds they are vitamins. You take before your meals. Or if you dont want to take a supplemental vitamin, try Activia. That worked really well with me. I just didnt like taking yogurt everyday. And…

I would stay away from any kind of chinese, unless you attempt to make it your self at home using healthier ingredients. Good luck on your jouney.

Same here! Good for you. I also wake up at 5am, tues, thur, fri. I find it easier to get it out of the way. And its also easier for me to work out with an empty stomach. If I try to fit in a workout after dinner, I feel weighed down. Keep up the good work!

Just make sure your net is 1200 calories. For exercise calories, try having a protein shake afterwards, so that you dont feel guilty about consuming extra calories. Try healthy snacks that will keep you at 1200 net. When exercise is included you have to increase your calorie intake.

For those of you that think fast food is ok, and the fact that preservatives are NOT the reason for McDonalds food not decaying you are in denial. You have no idea what is in that food, or where that food even comes from!! McDonalds fries arent even made from actual potatoes, but from a processed form of a potato. Theres a…

Congratulations on becoming a new mom. I myself had, and up until recently, have had a hard time losing the weight. My son is now 5 years old. Never really commited myself to a weighloss plan. But with MFP, Ive lost 10 pounds. So you are on the right path, I know you will lose that baby weight in no time. Good luck!

Good for you, keep up the good work!! I really enjoy hearing success stories, helps keep me on track too!

MFP works because you are keeping a food diary. With Weight watchers your counting points, now Ive never tried weight watchers, but with MFP you count calories. Either way you have to be dedicated to your weight loss. If not then nothing you try will be successfull. Try eating healthier. If you are craving a burger, try…

Welcome to MFP. I started myself beginning of this year. And I have the same problem with commiting to a weight loss. I have been logging in every meal, and have been successful with my calorie intake. Its really amazing to find out how many calories you are actually consuming, so I think it is very important that you log…

It all depends on your height and weight. For example Im 5'5" and weigh 170, and in order to maintain my weight, I need to consume 2100 calories. When you sign up with MFP you enter your height and weight, and the amount you want to lose, then your caloric intake is calculated.

The point is to cut calories. If your daily calorie intake is 1200, all you consume is 1200. But if your exercising, you need to calculate calories burned. And you still have to total 1200. So you burn 500 calories, but have only consumed 1200 then that puts you at a deficit of 500. If you are consuming 1700 calories, you…
