-
thanks! i'm thinking of doing insanity this april and upping my workout time for kettle bell :)
-
i'd like to know more about 'overnight glycogen reserves' and 'fat burn mode' please.
-
bump
-
^ yes exactly. thanks everyone :) and to those who share the same experience, let's prove them wrong!
-
from what I know, you just really have to lower your body fat percentage :) strength training!
-
I know right? I'm doing my best to ignore her comments.
-
just saw it. good job! :) what was your routine?
-
since i do kettlebell workouts, does that count as both cardio and lifting? although i know lifting is technically those big weights but all i've got now is a kettlebell and dumbbells
-
even though i gained the weight? i gained 20lbs during my first two years in college and my body fat really got higher. but yeah ok i'll just keep up with my deficit and strength training :)
-
that 1510 is your tdee :)
-
do you mean tdee? my bmr is 1277. but yes i do agree that for our size, a serious deficit is hard. ill aim for 10lbs in three months then :)
-
Oops i meant a week!!
-
How do i put on muscle? Will kettlebell workouts help me build muscle? How long does muscle building take?

I know I'm at a healthy weight but it's REALLY my tummy. From 27 it became 30. My hips got bigger too. My jeans don't fit me anymore I swear. The only things that have kept going are my jeggings. From my P.E. fitness test, my waist to hip ratio is at a high risk. The rest of my body parts are healthy thin/lean. It's really…

A) A pound per week would be great! Max of 1.5 B) Sorry! I've thought of stopping on calorie counting recently because I feel like it's frying my brain. But I'll get back to it asap
-
Exactly, the freshman 15! I'm the only one who got it among my friends too :( I was sort of athletic back in high school too being in the tennis team. Thanks for the advice. I'll still keep up with working out and proper eating :)

Bump! I don't have a HRM so I just try to estimate my cals from 100-200. But I hope I can get some info from others! Stats: 5'2, 115~lbs
-
I eat the same meals everyday except weekends and I don't get bored with them because I make sure they taste good and I know they're good for me. Mind over matter. :)
-
There are days wherein I do t25 and insanity: core cardio. Try kettlebell/dumbbell workouts too. Find what suits you!
-
i don't have a hrm so i log it as circuit training. but given that mfp is not accurate, i try to manually count my hr (count pulse in 10 secs then multiply by 6) and decipher from there if i should under/over estimate my calories burned.
-
QUESTION!! Should doing resistance training be in interval days? Or is everyday or 5-6 times a week just fine and/or more effective? + calorie deficit (for losing weight)
-
Quinoa has this nutty flavor to it. I don't mind it at all. I LOVE quinoa. It has everything you need in macros! I stopped eating rice and switched to quinoa.
-
I'd put that in Circuit Training :)
-
I'm on week 2 and still at it! :)
-
the added stuff doesn't seem like it should contain a lot of calories though. yes i'm sure :) it says in the packaging that 1/4 cup dry is 250 cals
-
mind sharing your routine? :)
-
Do you think I should stop T25 or any cardio workout?
-
Is cardio only optional if I do that ^ ?
-
I'm REALLY not sure what strength training I should do. Body weight exercises you mean? Or with resistance? I can only workout at home with 5lbs dumbbells. Not sure if I should get heavier ones but 5lbs seem pretty ok to me because after a few reps, I can feel the burn already :)) well with arm exercises tho.
