  • I'm 4'11 and my sister is probably 5'0. I'm 145lbs and on her heaviest days she's 100lbs. My heaviest was 180lbs. My mom was also very thin all her life. My brothers also have been thin. I was always the fat one in my family and growing up it sucked. I got mean comments from my brothers. I was compared to my sister. My…
  • Yes I'll be able to warm things up. And I want to prep for the week. Thanks for the insight
  • 27, 145lbs, 4'11 My 1 rep max is 205
  • And not just for the boost in weight loss(hopefully). But from what I've read it can help regulate hormones, help with acne, and so on.
  • I haven't tried it. I was told I have PCOS like, oh by the way you have this. During an ultrasound for an iud. When I went back to my doctor he was very indifferent about it. I guess cause fertility is not something I've struggled with. I have tried low carbs. And I've lost a lot of weight on my own over the last 4 years.…
  • Its suppose to be equivalent to metformin if not better. Helps with insulin resistance
  • Yes I know. Not the cheapest. I wanted to go with them because the wide variety of flavors they have.
  • I did get called out by my family when i was younger. I remember my brother looking at me in disgust once telling me to take p.e class. I remember my mom being so angry with me when i started gaining weight rapidly. I had practically been starving myself and when i stopped i gained 30lbs in a month. She had to buy me new…
  • They really don't feel tight. And the way the material is it kind of molds with my foot which is why i like them So much. I don't tie the laces tight since my coach mentioned that might contribute to my arch hurting. I'll try skipping some of the holes. Chucks hurt my arch too :( Thanks for the input. If the lace thing…
  • You should use the strength training the mfp has. At 4'11 and 149lbs i only burn maybe 120-140 during a 30- 40 minute of weight lifting. And I'll usually take off 5 or 10 minutes to account for time between sets, walking around, etc.
  • I use a belt when going heavy. It helps keep my form. Also since I've had my baby my core is super weak. I can't go heavy without it right now. But that's the only time i use it, during max weight or 85% + of max.
  • I'll probably be cutting back on the workouts soon. I do it because I enjoy it. I do crossfit because i love it and I'm weight training with my fiance to help tone my upper body and to spend time with him. Which may start happening less if he gets a new job. I weigh just about everything. But my eating habits kinda feel…
  • When i was rapidly going down in pant size i bought all my pants from the thrift store
  • I love it. Struggled with my weight since middle school and never able to lose. Just kept gaining. Lost about 25lbs and 6/7 pant sizes within a year of doing crossfit. Had never picked up a barbell until my first class. Have never been stronger or had better endurance. 3 years later and still doing it. Just had a baby so…
  • I have flat feet. I do crossfit and some things kill my feet. Too many wall balls, snatches, thrusters are a killer on my feet. So i take my shoes off when i know I'll be doing a lot of reps. I recently got some new shoes, nikes, that seem to be doing pretty good. Its really all about finding the right shoes.
  • I posted it here because in the other board the commentors seemed to be assuming that I was complaining about no loss. Here I figured I get more responses from people who understand what I'm talking about.
  • Samsung gear fit 2 I love it. The step tracker is so much better than my garmin. I like the way it looks and all the neat things it has. I'm not sure how i feel about the calorie burn though. I feel like it's either overestimating or under estimating. But oh well, it's gives me a General idea.
  • And i was using the days as an example. I've been tracking my weight for a month and a half. After the initial weight loss I've seen about a 1lb loss. And while my goal is set at maintenance I usually dont eat all that. So on top of a small calorie deficit i also have the exercise as a deficit. It's what works for me…
  • I do crossfit in the morning, simple weight lifting in the evening. I weigh everything. I know I'm losing. I'm going down in pant size. I'm losing inches. My frustration is that the scale doesn't reflect it.
  • I'm 4'11 and have my calorie goal set to 1600. I allow myself to eat all that. I don't eat back exercise calories. So it usually puts me at a net of 1200-1400. On days I don't exercise I try to stay under 1500. Its been working so far
  • When i first started losing weight i lost so many inches, went down several pant sizes and then found out the scale was saying i lost only 2lbs. Find a different way to measure your weight loss. With either measurements or even just going by how your clothes feel.
  • Oooh I'm the fatty here lol I'm 4'11 and my calorie goal is 1600. I don't eat back exercise calories so if I'm doing good it gives me a net calorie range of 1200-1400. Give or take. I'm 149lbs and aiming for 130lbs. Currently body fat % is 32%. Want to get to 20-25% body fat
  • I continue going to my crossfit gym. Just wear a second layer that I can strip off if I get warm. But I also live in South Texas. Our cold is 50 degrees.
  • Recently found out i have PCOS. Explains why I've always struggled with my weight all my life. Until about 3 years ago. Weight training and high intensity workouts seem to have done the trick. I'm not where I want to be yet, but not where I use to be. And I've been able to keep it off
  • I found out a month ago I have PCOS. Which explained sooo much. I've always struggled with my weight and was never able to lose. Until I started lifting weights. I do crossfit and have for 3 years. I lost 6 pant sizes since I've started. I've hit the smallest I've ever been. My weight however didn't change a whole lot,…
  • I had my iud removed because of exercise causing cramps. I was perfectly fine until my period. Had really bad cramping when i tried to do abs. Tom finished, went back and pushed myself. Cramped for an entire week. On the floor withering in pain kind of cramping. Had it removed immediately.
  • Its all about being within your calories. I'm Hispanic, Mexican food is just a must Because I see it as just food. Made enchilladas recently for dinner with rice and beans and was still within my calorie goal.
  • Anytime is a good time. Or find a workout program that you would like. Like body pump, zumba, crossfit, etc. It was hard for me to start going to the gym because I had no idea what I was doing. So I'd go to classes. And then eventually started crossfit and been doing that for 3 years now.
  • I work out at 5am and have started drinking a monster. Has really made a difference.
