  • Hey there, I usually run between 35-45 miles a week and lift three times (heavy) as well. Two days a week, I'll lift and do 3-4 miles, and on the other day I lift, that's all I do (usually leg day). I'll usually lift in the morning, then do my run after work so that I'm not putting too much strain on my body at one time.…
  • I like to get up every hour and go up and down our eight levels of stairs here at the office! I'll do different variations of going up the stairs each time to work out different muscle groups and keep it interesting. :)
  • My favorite thing to make is a TJ's chia wrap with avocado, tomato, spinach, black beans and cheese with a side of a microwaved sweet potato with cinnamon... so good!
  • I usually just use the little honey packets that you can get from 7-Eleven or a place of the sort... Follow the packet with some water and I'm good to go!
  • I'll usually have half a banana for anything over five miles and I run just fine!
  • If obesity is a disease, maybe those "diagnosed" should watch Supersize Me as the prescription. Seriously, though. I can't believe it's considered a disease... Maybe it's a way to get restaurant chains to make their food healthier/proportions smaller? You know, making note that it's a national problem. But that doesn't…
  • I'm actually doing one in Chicago next weekend! The Proud to Run race!
  • I had the same problem at one point... I upped my calories, increased my protein, take in most of my carbs with fruits and vegetables (vegetarian), and started taking multivitamins. Now I feel great. I would say up your calories to 1400, you're probably not getting the nutrients you need.
  • Or you could just not be rude at the fact that your co-workers are doing something nice for you. Have a tiny piece or don't eat the whole piece if you're that serious. It's not like you're going to gain back all of your weight on one piece of cake.

  • I was going to post something like this as well... I don't shop at A&F anyway, but stores like Fashion Bug and the like have basically been doing the same thing for years.

  • I really like her Yoga Meltdown DVD... I usually run and then do this afterwards, and I have DEFINITELY toned up and gained some muscle. It's a great body weight training video!
  • http://allrecipes.com/Recipe-Tools/Print/Recipe.aspx?recipeID=11966&origin=detail&servings=8&metric=false We made this last night (minus the oil and wine, added fresh sage and rosemary) and it was honestly the BEST sauce I have ever had.
  • For even less calories, I just spray them with olive oil Pam... calorie free!
  • Thanks! :)

  • The first month after I started running, I lost 20 pounds... I was walking 3 miles a day before hand and continued to after I started running. After the first month I continued to lose weight at about 5-10 pounds a month for the next few months with a calorie "allowance" of anywhere between 1200-1500 calories.
