My goal for June was 200 and I got in about 250... For July I am going to up the challenge and go for 300 miles. 44 miles in today so 254 miles to go! Hoping to get in a couple big rides on Sunday and Monday prior to work and a couple of upcoming business trips! Scott

Well June was packed with business travel, but I was still able to make my goal. I have a new bike that I purchased on one of my trips, when I realized I would have time to get a few rides in and rentals were not available. My son will benefit from this impulsive purchase since he is quickly out growing his "kids" bike. My…

Either way will work, but running outside has much less of a boredum factor and therefore easier to stick with. If you do only run on a treadmill and decide to go outside for a race, you will notice decrease in your performance outdoors (harder to run at same pace outside than on a treadmill). If you do go with the…

I have been biking a bunch so I will go for 200 miles in June... it will be a mix of road and montain biking also. I will be at sea for seven days, in Puerto Rico (without a bike) for 7 days... so this will be a serious challenge. Too bad June didn't start this past weekend, I got in 98 miles between Friday and today. It…

I have tried a bunch of ways of preparing it, but so far blackened has been my favorite (especially if you like spicy food). It is quick, chicken comes out very moist and no need to add any additional calories in the process. If it sounds interesting google a recipe and go from there, you can adjust rub ratios with…

It seems pretty good a tracking calories for some things. If I take it for a walk, the calories will be very similar to those that would be calculated on this web site based on speed and time. I also have worn it on my shoe while doing the elliptical trainer and as they state on their web site, it is accurate for low…

You say you avoid microwave dinners, is that because you consider them unhealthy? I was looking for something quick and easy to eat at work after going to gym and found kashi frozen meals (http://www.kashi.com/products/category/Entrees). They are nutritious (lots of fiber and protein), good tasting and only around 3 bucks.

I purchused one about a week ago. They are certainly a good pedometer... no issue with that. I think where they excel is they log you daily activities automatically tracking them wireless on a nicely designed and free web page. Since I have had mine, it has always made me go out of my way to walk more/be more active each…

All in the frying pan together... started on med/low heat to thaw frozen spinish and lean cuisine. Weird combo.. but was very good. For dinner lean cuisine doesn't always seem like enough but add some more vegies and hot sauce and something good always comes out.

Just to clarify a bit, I am really looking for an answer to as whether I am getting any advantage continuing to work out at 90% max or I should drop down to 80% of max or even 60% of max (to maximimize fat burning). My current 30 minutes at 90% of max is very doable, but I just want to make sure that it is also the best…

Almost 1 week into fitness regime and 4 days into tracking (and eating healthy diet). So far so good and seems easier than in the past. Communites such as this and Fitbit really help!
