Second round of 80 Day Obsession, Day 16, Booty. I hate those bands, but they really work!

Thank you for your thoughtful post. The problem is I have already managed the low hanging fruit. I never drink soda, half and half or whole milk. I workout hard for about 60 minutes 5 times a week. My dinner plate is about 50% vegetables, cooked in Pam. Where I need to get it together is wine on the weekends and the…

I hear you! I have been trying to reconcile what everyone always says, it's a lifestyle, with the reality that I don't want to. But, I am working on it! I am in my late forties and need to lose 20-30 pounds, but honestly I am trying to look at it one day at a time.

Happy saturday! Yesterday was a bit of a mess (friday cocktails, I am looking at you). Today is a new day and so far, so good!

Second round of 80 day obsession, Day 12, Legs! I added some cardio and abs to the end to get to 60 minutes. Back is OK so far. Fingers crossed it stays strong.

Hi Everyone! Happy almost friday! I have been mostly on track this week and definitely doing my workouts. The weekend is always when I fall down. Any suggestions?

I think planning as much as possible is a great idea. Right now my schedule is super flexible so I plan dinners weekly and the rest daily. When school starts in August, I am going to need to be more organized.

80 day obsession, day 11, AAA. Back held up OK! I modifed and lower weight on some exercises, but it worked!

80 day obsession - total cardio core. I am finding this workout tweaks my back, so I might need to sub another. I think it is the sliders? Not sure, but I know I don’t want to be sidelined with a back spasm.

So tired! I was up too late watching the Caps win the Stanley Cup last night (#ALLCAPS!) and no tough workout due to twinging back issue. My goal for today is to keep up the nutrition and get some good walks in.
-
Giving my back another day to recoup. Sigh.

I did 1/2 of the Cardio Core / 80 Day Obsession work out when my back started twinging in a bad way. Leaving off now, esp since I have a hike later today. It is so hard to listen to my body and not just push through only to end up injured.

I am up by DC and am loving this cooler, drier weather. It makes it easier to get out and it will be hot soon enough!

I love Shaun T and am keeping an eye out for a shorter workout once the school year restarts. I'll have to keep that one in mind!

Good morning! Almost I am 47 and live near DC, where we finally have a sunny day. So far on track for the day, walked the dog, did my 80 day obsession work out, now on to grading (and more grading, and yet more grading) on the couch.

Restarting 80 day obsession, round two! I am at Phase 1 day 2. I saved my sheets and it’s nice to see how much stronger I am than in my first round.

Me too! I work out daily with 80 Day obsession and am trying to track consistently. Grad school and middle age / perimenopause have put me up about 25 lbs.

My goal has been to up my game - I typically get to the gym 3-4 times a week and do a half hearted 30 minutes on the elliptical. So, my goal is to both up the time and intensity whenever possible. Ideally 45-60 minutes and when I can't do that much to make myself work harder with the time I have. If at all possible, then I…

I am aiming for 20-25 minutes of mostly cardio, but some strength mixed in would probably be good. Thanks!

Hi All, I am looking for a really short but intense workout I can do before going into school to teach. Any suggestions?

I put this in my general feed, but - how about travel? I am leaving town tomorrow for a week long trip that encompasses a wedding and some majorly fun foodie destinations. The trip should be fairly active, so that helps and I never want to skip family or other events because of a fear of weight gain. That means I need to…

today's workout: 15 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes with the trainer which was something like: 2X60 seconds each Push ups (the real ones) Hamstring curls on ball ball pass side curls on bosu back row with 12lb weight pull ups with 10lb kettleball "speedskater" lunges and some other stuff I forgot. We usually get…

Just 30 minutes on the elliptical - I am on a work deadline and crunched for time. Happy that I made even that much!
-
This morning was -45 minute walk with the dog -10 minutes on the elliptical -30 minutes circuit/strength training with my trainer Can anyone explain the difference between circuit training and strength training? My trainer has me do a mix of classic strength moves (push ups) and aerobic/strength moves (burpies/jump ups,…

My challenge this week has been DH out of town with BOTH my mother and MIL in town to visit and see kids recital. So there are treats for the kids, dinner out, etc. So far I have managed OK - I insisted on cooking tonight and bought fish and I only had about 1/3 glass of wine (though I wanted to bottle...) LOL.

I'm in! feel free to friend me as well. I will be going through and adding some of you. I am a 43 (almost 44) YO mom, who works part time and is working on a doctorate part time. Life is really busy and it is easy to let stuff slide. I don't have a ton of weight to lose, ideally 20 pounds. But I think it would help my back…
