Feel free to add me! I'm a mom to two and am a few months into this now.

Subway's sweet onion chicken teriyaki on 9-grain wheat with veggies (no cheese) is 370 calories and pretty good. They also have a bunch of meal sized salads in the 230 - 350 calorie range.

My first thought is that it causes fatigue, which makes it harder to exercise and keep motivated.

Butternut squash risotto! So yummy! Recipe here: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2008/10/butternut-squash-risotto.html

Another thought - I don't like the term "cheat day," as if I'm breaking rules set by some outside force. I choose what I eat, and some days I choose to eat more. I don't feel guilty about it.

Where I live, Vit D deficiency is common, since you can't really get enough from being out in the sun here. I've dealt with it, and also took a high dose supplement to get my numbers back up to normal. Once they were back in range, I scaled down to 1,000 IU a day and haven't had a problem since then.

What jumps out at me from what you said is that you were craving pizza for a long time, and presumably didn't satisfy that craving until you broke down and ate a whole pizza. I find I just satisfy cravings as I have them and then I'm much less likely to binge. If I crave a cheeseburger, I'll exercise a little extra and…

I often eat over half my calories for the day during dinner and evening time, and it hasn't slowed my weight loss any.

I track potassium, and what I did was create a potassium "food" in the data bank that just has 1 mg of potassium and nothing else. Then I use that to add the information on. So after I add a meal, I check anything that has a 0 in the potassium column, get the correct info, and add it in.

When i had an issue with shin splints, I started doing stretches for my calf muscles, iced them, and got calf sleeves to wear. If yours is acute, I would say to ice and stretch. Tight calf muscles can contribute to shin pain.

This is a sweet mustard coleslaw sauce: 1/4 cup mustard 1/4 cup light mayonnaise 1/4 cup vinegar 1/4 cups sugar 1/4 tablespoon salt 1/4 cup diced sweet red bell pepper 1 1/2 teaspoons celery seed Mix with one bag of coleslaw mix or about a pound of cabbage.

Yes, you can scramble just the whites, or make an omelet with them. Although if I were you, I would just look around for another filling option that you do like instead of trying to force yourself to like eggs. What about something else high protein, like Greek yogurt? I like oatmeal for a filling breakfast, too.

Could you do seated cardio? There are chair cardio workouts for those who aren't able to walk. You could do those right now.

Off topic, but this guy makes the most overrated cheesesteak ever. Go to Gooey Louie's instead.

I monitor sodium intake, and I find the things that will make me go over 1500 are almost always processed foods, not my own cooking. I still salt food I am making, as I always have, at reasonable amounts. I do avoid soy sauce. So I would say go ahead and use salt on your on cooking and don't worry about it. If you want…

It can also be good to double check the calorie information from the database here. If something looks suspicious to me, I'll check a few other sites to see if it's right. I have found some things to be off, and if it's something you eat often, that can add up quickly.

This link was really interesting - thanks for posting it.

I have my TSH levels tested regularly to make sure I'm in my target range. I have had to adjust it before. I'd recommend going in to get the blood work done.
-
I only make sure to log seasonings when it could affect my sodium count. (I have high blood pressure.)

When I do Thai for lunch, I like to get fresh rolls (or summer rolls, I've seen them called both -they are the ones with the soft rice paper around veggies), hot and sour soup, or satay (using the dipping sauce sparingly). Papaya salad and cashew chicken would probably be good choices, too. ETA: This post totally made me…

I love having a snack in the evening after the kids are in bed. It used to be cheese, salami, crackers, and a 7&7 (or 2). The calories from that add up fast! I knew I had to stop eating so unhealthy, but I'm just not willing to give up a little evening snack, so I've switched to rice crackers and laughing cow cheese, or…

I like these, too. I use the extreme control style.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that…

Yes! I could use some motivation.

I like eggplant parmesan more than chicken parmesan. It's about texture for me, and also, I think the eggplant blends better with the other flavors. I really like the recipe in the Moosewood cookbook, which you can see here: http://www.corkboard.it/posting/show/13268-moosewood-cookbook-eggplant-parmesan-recipe I also…

Right now my favorite is chocolate milk, PB, yogurt, and a frozen banana, but since several people have posted a variation on that, here's my other favorite, a tropical smoothie: 1/2 cup baby spinach or a scoop of green superfood 1/2 cup Total fage 0 1/3 cup light coconut milk 1 cup frozen mango 1/4 cup pineapple chunks…
