thanks everyone, this has been helpful. if I now have my calorie goal set to 1 400 daily, and I work some exercise into my day, should I eat back the exercise calories do you think?

ummmm, for me it's foods such as glazed doughnuts and sweet buns. It's hard to fit stuff like that into my every day because it's so high in calories, and i find my self hungry at the end of the day if 300 of my calories are taken up by one cream bun. Yeah, well, eating 1 200 calories a day ultimately doesn't work though does it, if your goal is to lose weight, assuming you want this weight to be lost for a considerable period of time, in my case restricting so severely will backfire, your body eventually screams for the food you've denied it. yes, the binges happen…

I think you're right! about the worrying haha. Im sure it will be totally fine when it comes to it! its just the thought of not being in complete control as I have been since I started freaks me out a little bit! :-)

I think im going to be helping prepare lunch and breakfast but after that I wont be in charge of any meals so dinner is going to be up to them I assume :) I think the best approach will be to maybe offer to make my own meals, and bring them with me, as im also a vegetarian and don't want them to have to change their meal…

Thank You! I totally agree with the healthy snack advice! im thinking, I will be able to take lunch for the first day, and then have dinner with them but just have small portions, and yeah. im sure it will be fine, but you're right, a new situation can be daunting!

pretty much had a meltdown when I got there as I was so hungry and had the pancakes (without bacon) plus hot chocolate and a mocha!!!!!! :O was incredibly yum though :P :P I've tried to track it, and its looking like the one breakfast has exceeded my daily goal (1200), guess im going to have to go for a run today!!

yes, I am definitely thinking the TAc! sounds so good! :) the calorie count is the problem though because if I don't know what the calories are I tend to over estimate by a lot to be safe and then spend the remainder of the day eating very little which is annoying. :P
