3 days of running, 2 days of strength training, 1 very short and easy run day and 1 day of no exercise so the muscles have time to breathe a little. Here's my schedule: Monday: Run day Tuesday: Strength day Wednesday: Run day Thursday: Rest day Friday: Run day Saturday: Strength day Sunday: Easy run day

Been there and done that. If you must have cookies, chips, chocolate in the house, try buying the single serving sized ones made for kids lunches. That's a very easy way to portion control. Each individual wrapper for each snack is shocking to look at when you see all the ones you ate in one day staring back at you. That's…

I don't know. assthetik looks like he would hog the blankets after. Nice tattoos though.

Yes. But only if this date involves bacon.

Me! I'm 5'3" and currently 180. But I'm down from 235. I pack on dense muscle easily so at 130 (at least the last time) I was still tiny, size 2-4. Been a lot of hard work but I'm in it to reach the goal weight.

Depression + stress + 16 hour days + low budget to make healthy choices + a healthy dose of self loathing did it for me. When you get fat, you're in a bad place and it's really hard to stop, let alone reverse the downward spiral.

In the last 2 days, I've gotten "You look great!" "You can really tell that you've lost a lot of weight." "You look so different from when we first met."

I love mine! I have the One (really wanted a Force but those have been recalled). As far as accurate step and calorie burning, there are probably better (and more expensive) on the market. Rather than believe everything it says, I use it more as a gauge of how much effort I put in per day. I can easily see if I did better…

What Jbharwood said. Dissolve your powder in a cold liquid first and then add to hot coffee for maximum, non-clumpy enjoyment. Edited to add that I do this on occasion when I'm running late for work and I don't have time to drink each separately. It's not ideal but it is a big time saver.

Caught my reflection in a tinted window at work today. Whoa, those aren't Ionic columns, those are actual thighs now!
-
Holy crap! I am so impressed! Those are rough, even without weights.

I've always been self conscious since I got fat and therefore always owned baggy pants. I sucked it up and bought some compression tights for jogging 2 weeks ago. I bought a pair in my (then) current size and a smaller pair as a goal. Well today I went out for a jog, only to find that my current size pants are too big and…

Drink beer and watch hockey!

In this part of Texas, all soft drinks are called "coke" except Dr Pepper. You don't dare blaspheme the Dr Pepper by calling it a coke. But I'm a Northerner by birth and call it soda.

I was about 17. Was having a rough time with my parents and had quit high school sports to focus on athletics. Went through a BAD round of depression and the weight started accumulating. Like 10-15 pounds a year to an all time high of 232 (at 5'3").

I'm about 35 pounds down but I've lost 2 pants sizes. But all of my fat was in my butt so -35 pounds of butt fat enabled the size change. I doubt I've changed shirt sizes at all.

Every other man in there lifting was once either flat chested or sporting moobs. I say go for it.

The last time I bought jeans, I bought a pair one size smaller than what I wore at the time. After getting some teasing at work for my "clown pants" I started wearing the smaller pants. And they are still a bit too big. :-)

I don't do cheat days, just cheat meals and only 1 a week. Mostly because my cheat meal is whatever the hell I want and how ever much I want. I ate Taco Bell this week and it was glorious (until later).

Congrats! It is indeed a good feeling. Plus, shopping!

Most likely. I like guys who can play musical instruments.

The boobs comment was about KylaDenay. Rochelle 951 has a fab smile.

Boobs. They're admirable.

Certain days of the week require certain colors of underwear. Days that start with a T = Green. Days that start with a S=Blue. Otherwise, I can be pretty random.

I'm smart enough to join Mensa but I'm so not a joiner. I like power tools. I moved to Japan on a whim, not knowing any Japanese (but I do now). I love baking sweet desserts but I never eat them. I'm not a dessert person, I just like to cook to make others happy.

1. Well if you've done it right, you're not supposed to look good at the end of a race. 2. Congrats on making it for 10 miles and not dying. I would have after the first mile. 3. What somebody else said, 10 miles is an amazing accomplishment. One that a lot of "fit" looking people I know couldn't even do.

junk = things I will feel guilty about eating but I still eat them sometimes

I think we've all kicked this dead horse long enough. How about posting some meaningful life lesson or other thing you actually got out of being fat?

Oh, also does this nude espresso shop have male baristas? Because I do love my coffee.

What feelin_gr_8 said about thankfulness! Having once been very skinny but currently being very NOT skinny, I certainly had a few things to learn. It might have been the teenager speaking back int he day but I would sometimes think to myself "wow, that woman needs to lose weight so badly. She should just stick to salad and…
