Had a total hysterectomy at age 32 and did ok until the past 2 years. I’m now 42 and I’ve gained 25 pounds in 2 years. I had crept up a little before that but it went off the rails 2 years ago. Trying to lose 35-45 pounds and it just seems impossible.

Great job! I have been a bit of of a failure this week. Back on the wagon tomorrow!
-
Success today! The rest of the week will be a breeze. I recently started on Advocare stuff which has really reduced the amount I need to eat so I am not starving at the lower calorie levels. Yay! Between that and backing down the calories, I should start to see results.

Well, I did great on Monday, but a pitch in derailed my 800 calorie day. :( still did better then I would have in the past. Stayed within my old calorie goals so not too bad. I'll do better tomorrow. We trip, and then start again!

I am starting my last week of my Challenge. I feel trimmer but have not lost any numbers. I feel great though and will continue to use the MNS, Spark, and Shakes. Glad I found this group!

Awesome! Since tomorrow is Monday, its a perfect time to start. I think I'll give it a go. Eager to see how we do!
-
Interested. Where can I get info on how to do this plan.

Thanks for helping me find the menopause group!

The Asylum is different but has Shaun T as the trainer. It is an awesome workout. Really tough! I think Insanity is on my list to get when I get through Asylum.
-
Is it the regular Insanity or the Insanity Asylum? I am just starting the Asylum.

That looks really good! Might have to try it!!!

I don't think you need to worry about people giving you a hard time about your weight working there. That being said, if you can't resist the ice cream, I wouldn't do it. An alcoholic shouldn't work in a bar. If you really can't resist (like I wouldn't be able to) then don't work in an ice cream store. Tough one!

Welcome and best of luck! Feel free to friend me. I have two kiddos also, but mine are 8 and 12.

OK, starting weight 132.5. Exercised 55 minutes today. 25 minutes aerobics, 30 minutes running. Here I go!

I understand how it would be harder to reach the higher calorie amounts, but I totally agree that it is hard to fathom struggling to get to 1200 calories. I never struggle to get there, even when I follow my plan to the letter. Glad there are others who feel the same, I was begining to think I was crazy! I guess if it's…

Well, I goofed up and got too busy to work out yesterday. BUT I had worked out over an hour on Tuesday, so I guess I worked out for both days....right? I won't let you all down. I'm on it tonight!

Woo hoo! Ready for the start tomorrow! Although I see some got a head start! Good for you guys! See you all tomorrow! :flowerforyou:

She may not have meant anything by her reply (it's easy to read inflectin into an typed reply). But I would tend to send her a personal message and ask directly (but I tend to just be direct with people). Or you could refriend her and send her a message saying that you must have accidentally unfriended her, see what she…

Going to a specialized running store is the key. I found out by going to one of these stores that I need arch support to keep my ankles from collapsing when I run. They are great at assessing your needs.

Her doctor can refer her to a dietician. They can work on a program just for her. My thoughts and prayers are with her. I am a six year breast cancer survivor (diagnosed at age 28). Survivors rock!!!

I am in early menopause (total hysterectomy at 32), and it definately slowed things down. Persistance is very important and muscle building is important. Each decade we lose a bunch of muscle if we don't work to keep it. The muscle loss added to the slow metabolism of menopause makes it worse. Consistency, and some weight…

I'm in, too!!! I love a challenge!!! Does it start tomorrow?

I'm right there with you! Your normal activities don't usually help with weight loss. I do count heavy yard work, and snow shoveling, because those definately use a significant amount of calories. I work on my feet all day, and I do NOT count that as exercise. Now funny thing, my husband got ahold of my phone and logged…

We've had this discussion ourselves at home. I try to stay away from stuff that has aspartame in it. But I do love Crystal Light and so does my hubby. Can't wait to see what others have to say.

Second episode will be on tomorrow.

I loved it! It really touches on food addiction which is a such a huge problem. I am looking forward to the next episode.

This is a facility that does not do cardio there (it's not a normal gym, it's an exercise studio), but maybe your right about working up to cardio. But he has been going there for 7 months and has not seen much change in his weight.

Give it another week and stay consistant. Looks like you've done real well since the first of the year. This is probably just a short plateau.
