  • @Stoshew71 - I didn't think I was explaining it very well, sorry. My work blacklists a bunch of random things too... So when you go to the homepage it says: "jog.fm helps you find the perfect music for your run...and your walk and your ride" and then it has a drop-down menu for: "my mile time is ????". You select your time…
  • I'm starting to think it will be easier not to take rest days so I don't get so behind on everyone's posts/progress!!! My on running schedule is on a bit of a holding pattern...it's a bit of a TMI medical situation, so I am trying to spare you all the details. So anyways, I have a HM on Saturday that I have really been…
  • @Somebody_Loved - That's awesome!!! Congrats! I also fight with myself about paying race fees but there is something about the atmosphere/running with others that does make it worth it when I can afford it! Like @skippygirlsmom - I do try to find races that benefit a local organization or a charity of some sort which helps!
  • AMAZING!!! Congrats!!

  • @kristinegift - That's awesome! That is where I ran my first half ever back in 2013 and I loved it! What a great race! And I definitely enjoyed the cookies at Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop...we'll call it carb loading, right? Have a great race!! And enjoy the (very hilly) course!
  • I don't know why or when they decided to start putting the pads in sport bras, but I also just throw mine. Other than for extra sweat absorption, I can't imagine why they are there!!! @Elise4270 - I buy mine at TJ Maxx and I will buy any brand that makes them primarily with cotton. @kristinegift - Sorry if this already…

  • @briebee7 - So sorry to hear about your fall. :( Hope it heals quickly. @skippygirlsmom - I agree wholeheartedly with briebee7's advice for fueling. For me, it matters much more what I do on the days leading up to the race - eating right, sleeping enough, easy runs and rest days, eating a little but not too much the…

  • Yeah!!! And better a little tight than a little loose. I definitely have a pair that wanders southward often taking my underwear with them until I get sweaty enough to hold them in place. You don't need that!! Sounds great!! And I think a number of sports psychologists would absolutely say it works that way!!! I read a…
