  • I'm overweight and look terrible in a swimsuit but I wear still wear it. I'm not going to be so worried about what other people think that I take all the fun out of my life. Why would anyone give someone else that much power. I'm not proud of being overweight and I understand the embarrassment but it also gives me that…
  • I use Bath & Body Shea it isn't so foot cream and heel of approval twice a day. No more cracked heels. Works great.
  • That's wonderful! It's amazing the unexpected benefits that come from taking better care of yourself. My husband started joining in on the exercise on his own. Your children will be growing up with the knowledge a healthy lifestyle is normal.
  • Wow! Such a difference and in 1 month. You are an inspiration of what can be accomplished. Thanks for sharing.
  • That is fantastic! You should be so proud of yourself.
  • Not sure how well it works, I haven't tried it myself. I was reading in a magazine about wearing sweat shorts. I thought I might give it a try. Good luck!
  • The good is that my husband says he's supportive of my weight loss. He has started to join me in exercising, which I love. The bad is that we have a different idea of what supportive is. It's not eating cream filled donuts, chips, ice cream, and candy bars in front of my face. I'm determined to lose this weight no matter…
  • When I first started reading your post I thought I can really relate to what you are going through. I spent most of the fall and early winter sick. I would start to get better and I would get hit with something else. That is what made me decide to start this weight loss as soon as I was well enough to do it. I'm now up to…
  • Good for you!!! Stay strong and remember your goal.
  • I had noticed a big difference when people do their before and after pictures even when the weight loss isn't a huge amount. You might want to try that. Wear the same clothes and stand in the same place. You could even try to find a picture of yourself before you lost the weight you already have and take a picture now and…
  • Great job! You are so close to your goal. How exciting!
  • Great job! You should be proud. I can't wait to have an after picture. You've given me something to look forward to. Thanks!
  • Words of wisdom. Stick with it. I know you can do it. You have the right attitude.
  • If you are on the message board and you click on someones name and go to their home page there is a place where you can click to add them as a friend. I hope it works for you.
  • Stay strong. Try drinking water. Remember your goal. You can do it! If the cookies are that tempting think about fitting a couple of them into your calorie count for tomorrow. Hopefully that way you won't feel like your missing out and you have something to look forward to.
  • Great job!
  • That's great! I can't wait to measure now. I promised myself I would wait a month before I measured myself so I wouldn't get disappointed. I'm hoping I have the same results to look forward too. Thanks for sharing.
  • What a great story, you give us hope. I've been working at it 15 days now and it's wonderful to hear a success story and know that this will all be worth it. Thank you.
  • That's great! That's how much I need to lose, so far 11 lbs. It's good to hear a success story. Can't wait to hear you've lost those last 10lbs. I know you'll succeed.

  • I know how you feel. I recently discovered that my favorite burger has 1540 calories. Instead of giving it up and feeling deprived I ate a really light breakfast and lunch and cut my burger in half. If I want fries I'll adjust my meals and calories the same way. If I want to stick to this I need to be able to enjoy my…
  • Welcome! You can do it Becca. Watch you calories in and calories burned. I like to look at success stories for inspiration. Good luck.
  • If I know I'm going to have a big dinner , I'll try to keep my morning and lunch meals light so I'll have more calories to use at dinner.. I've been keeping track of calories and measure my food at all meals to keep within my limit. I like to look at the success stories to help keep me motivated. Good luck.
  • Welcome newbie! I've been doing this for 10 days now and it's great. I have never lost weight this way either and I was so surprised how many calories some foods have and how much I was really eating. I also like to look at the success stories because it helps to give me incentive. The charts are great too. Well good luck.…
  • Welcome Leanne! I've been doing this for a week now. I don't know what you have tried in the past, but I've found that writing down everything I eat is helping. I couldn't believe the total calories. When you start to study the amount in different foods it will help. If I think I'm going to be eating a large meal at supper…
  • I have just started mfp but I have tried to lose weight in the past. I know that when you work out you gain muscle which can cause you to gain weight. That is why it is important to measure yourself. I know there can be other reasons too but I didn't see this mentioned. Just don't give up. What you gain in health benefits…
  • Thank you for sharing your story. I have just started and have never been able to stay motivated. To read your story and know there is a light at the end of the tunnel is inspiring. I'm trying to start out slow with the exercise because in the past I would over do it and get an injury. It sounds like you worked your way up…
